40 percent growth from Blue Square operations
Battling its way back from a 17 percent revenue dip last year, Rank group has reported encouraging figures in the initial third of 2007 with a revenue hike of 3 percent across its gambling portfolio of Mecca bingo clubs, casinos, online gaming and bookmaking services over the corresponding period for 2005.
The Top Rank Espana Spanish bingo business delivered a small increase in revenues, but it was online gambling division Blue Square that grabbed attention, boosting revenues by a very creditable 40 percent during the period.
