The two players are some distance apart - Betfair Poker officials said that LoisLane is from Norway and that paoletto resides in Italy.
LoisLane is a high-stakes regular on Betfair Poker. He often sits at several tables and has been known to have half a million dollars in play at one time. Not afraid to re-buy into a heads-up game, pots in excess of $100 000 are a regular occurrence for this player who was once seen sitting alone in glory at the $250/$500 table, with $400 000 in front of him! There is speculation on the Betfair forum that paoletto is in fact also "sincero". Sincero is known for being a highly aggressive and increasingly accomplished high stakes Hold'em player who has been involved in some of the largest pots ever seen on Betfair Poker.
The $207 000 pot won by "Rosiepod" against sincero was eclipsed Tuesday night when paoletto took down a $213 000 pot against LoisLane.
Many of the Betfair Poker regulars have added both paoletto and LoisLane to the "find a player" functionality on Betfair Poker allowing them to watch the biggest games online.
Shortly before they stopped playing Wednesday there was $423 000 at the table. Paoletto's comment in the chat box - "I can't play too much more, it's quite stressful" - might be considered something of an understatement!
