Online games developer Wagerworks justifiably boasts this week that "The sky's the limit as WagerWorks goes iDTV with SkyBet."
The British television giant BSkyB subsidiary Skybet and WW have extended an earlier agreement to integrate the software company's popular games into the interactive TV channel SkyVegas.
WagerWorks is releasing some of its most successful slot games on the SkyVegas channel. The first game, the 20-payline slot Cleopatra, has already gone live and will be followed by the 9-payline Monopoly with Pass "Go" Bonus.
The extended agreement is an expression of SkyBet's wish to capitalise on the synergy that exists with WagerWorks, the opportunity to 'cross-sell' and the need to broaden Sky's offering with top-tier, performing slot games which will attract new players to the channel and reinvigorate its existing players.
From a Wagerworks perspective it is a unique opportunity to explore new markets for its games by targeting a very broad audience that might prefer to play games through interactive TV rather than a computer.
