GET21 TO CLOSE BLACKJACK TOURNAMENTS

No reasons given for forthcoming shutdown.

After only nine months of operations the Isle of Man-based online multiplayer blackjack tournament venture Get21.com is closing the tournament blackjack facility on July 15, according to a notice sent to players this week. The website does not have any notification of closure on it yet, but it is understood that tournament blackjack will now be available on the website of one of the Get21 partners.

Opened in late October 2006 - Get21 Ltd. is operated as a partnership between the Golden Palace online casino and Zone4Play indirect subsidiary RNG Gaming Ltd. Get21 operates on a unique software platform developed over the course of two years by RNG Gaming Ltd.

In an email to players, the company informed players that Tournament Blackjack operations will cease as from July 15, with promotional projects halted on July 1. Players were advised that account balances must be withdrawn or played down to zero no later than the shutdown date.

No reason was given for the shutdown.
