GERMAN TV DEAL FOR PARTY GAMING

German dot.net poker information site proposed

The German media group RTL and London-listed online gambling group Party Gaming have signed an exclusive agreement that will see the launch of a new RTLpoker.de website with advertorial links to PartyPoker.net, Party's free-to-play website. The main RTL.de website has over six million users a month, offering significant cross-marketing possibilities and an enviable access to the German market.

Party Gaming signed a deal to provide British broadcaster ITV with online games recently (see previous Online-Casinos.com/InfoPowa report).

In addition to the website possibilities, RTL Interactive will also promote its poker offering and poker school via TV spots on the leading German TV channel RTL TV.

A Party Gaming spokesperson emphasised the deal was not a white label.

"We are thrilled to have been chosen by RTL Interactive to provide an online poker school to their users, said Party's CEO Mitch Garber. "This is a hugely exciting opportunity for us to work with the German internet division of Europe's leading broadcaster."
