US PLAYER IN AUSSIE MILLIONS ROBBED

$30 000 taken at knifepoint

It was a disappointing end to a great competition for 22 year old Oklahoma player Jason Potter this week when the young poker pro was robbed at knifepoint of his winnings.

Potter had cashed in his Aussie Millions poker tournament cheque for $30 000 and was walking back to his hotel in the early hours of the morning from the Crown Casino in Melbourne when the robbery occurred. Potter was threatened with a knife-wielding man whom police are seeking to identify through CCTV footage.

Potter said that the experience would not deter him from again playing in the competition.
