NOW THERE ARE TWO
Number of Parlay bidders yo-yos
First it was a Chartwell Technology merger for online software developer Parlay Entertainment which fell through in the wake of the UIGEA, then more recently Mark Blandford's PEIC Acquisitions was a CDN 12.3 million suitor for the company but didn't complete by the deadline, leaving the road open for further bids. Then another "expression of interest" came in....and then another!
But this week it was back to two interested parties as PEIC Acquisitions pulled out of any deal, citing too many delays on the Parlay side to make a decision on its offer.
Back to two bidders, industry rumours are currently that one could be UK betting giant Ladbrokes, but that company is giving nothing away if it is, and may be leery of Parlay's US business connections.
Parlay's future is becoming an interesting story apparently developing in installments!
