MILLIONAIRE UK ADVERTISING PLANNED BY GET MINTED
Online gambling company will use posters on a broad front
Get Minted.com, an online casino, bingo and poker operation belonging to Cashcade in the United Kingdom, is breaking out a reportedly GBP 1 million budget to advertise extensively offline in Britain over the next few weeks.
For two weeks Get Minted will be heavily promoting its bingo, slots and poker products offline at a number of sites throughout the UK. There will be posters in phone boxes, at rail stations and outside bingo halls. The activity shows the breadth of the firm's portfolio of online games and will help maintain the large growth in users seen on the website since the start of the year.
A third of the action will concentrate on the Get Minted Bingo product. Posters will be strategically placed outside offline Bingo Halls, such as Gala and Mecca. The company estimates that each site will be seen by 17.6 million people in total over the two week campaign. Like online poker, bingo on the internet has revolutionised the way people play the game.
The other focus of the advertising campaign is the Get Minted Poker product. Between the 2nd and 25th of May, phone boxes will be covered with images of Vinnie Jones, the face of Get Minted Poker, which will be viewed by an estimated 6.6 million people. The firm is betting that the movie style creative will create a major impact and will replace advertising space traditionally reserved for mega budget Hollywood blockbusters.
The Wager Works slot Monopoly is the company's most popular video slot machine, and will be advertised at rail stations between 25th April and 8th May. Monopoly Reel Estate combines payline action with solid bonus features.
Get Minted's Head of Marketing, Gloria Gonzalez says: "We estimate that 454 000 people come into London by rail every day during peak hours and 72 percent of those traveling into Central London use rail as their main mode of transport. Each of these commuters will see the posters around 10 times during the two week campaign".
Rail stations represent guaranteed maximum exposure, she added, "Rail stations were a pertinent location to promote Monopoly given that you can buy train stations on the Monopoly Board. There is a clever subtext to the location of these posters."
