UNIBET FINANCE DIRECTOR MOVING ON
Sportsbetting group pays tribute to Ragnar Hellenius
London-based online gambling group Unibet has announced that Chief Financial Officer Ragnar Hellenius has decided to step down with effect from the end of March 2008. Henrik Tjärnström will be taking over as interim CFO.
"Ragnar Hellenius has been with the group since March 2007," said CEO Petter Nylander. "[His] contribution in connection with the Maria Holdings acquisition has been very valuable. Unibet would like to thank Mr. Hellenius for his contribution during a hectic and eventful year.
"We are on track with our financial targets for 2010 and will continue the organic growth strategy with focus on maximizing profits. The company will not focus on any major acquisitions but potentially minor deals in the short term future," Nylander added.
Henrik Tjärnström is 37 years old and a Swedish citizen. He holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Institute of Technology, Linköping University, Sweden. He has previously held a position as Senior Financial Manager at Skanska Infrastructure Development AB, and has been a Unibet board member since 2003 and a member of the Unibet audit committee since 2004.
