GUARANTEES HOISTED AGAIN AT POKERSTARS

Guaranteed prize pools on Super Tuesday and seven Sunday events increased

Tournament guaranteed prize pools at Poker Stars.com are the subject of across the board increases according to a statement from the company this week.

The Isle of Man based online poker operator said that the prize pool for the Super Tuesday event will be increased by $100 000, taking it from $300 000 to $400 000, and seven events on Sundays will in future see bigger prize pools. Earlier this month Poker Stars unveiled a major boost to the Sunday Millions guaranteed prize pool, taking it from $1 million to $1.5 million (see previous Online-Casinos.com/InfoPowa report).

The announcement included details of the increases as follows:

Super Tuesday: From $300 000 to $400 000

Sunday's events:

* 14:00 $109 Rebuy No-Limit Hold'em from $70 000 to $300 000

* 15:00 Daily Eighty Grand from $80 000 to $125 000

* 17:00 $55 No-Limit Hold'em from $50 000 to $80 000

* 17:30 $530 No-Limit Hold'em from $250 000 to $500 000

* 19:00 $109 No-Limit Hold'em from $50 000 to $100 000

* 19:30 $109 Rebuy No-Limit Hold'em new guaranteed $150 000

* 21:00 $215 Rebuy No-Limit Hold'em from $200 000 to $250 000
