FEMALE POKER ACE LITIGATES AGAINST FULL TILT

Bring it on, says online poker company

U.S. poker ace Cycalona "Clonie" Gowen and the major online poker website that she has long promoted, Full Tilt Poker are set to bump heads in court soon after Gowen was told that her services were no longer required, and that her image would be removed from company promotional material.

According to court records in Nevada, the attractive and talented Gowen (she was once a teenage beauty queen) filed a lawsuit last week against Tiltware, LLC, Full Tilt Poker, and a stellar list of Full Tilt poker personalities that reads like a who's who of poker.

Poker News reports that the 20 page filing claims breach of contract and fiduciary duty, breach of the Covenant of Good Faith and Fair Dealing, unjust enrichment and fraud, with Gowen claiming a staggering $40 million in damages. There are details of meetings, telephone calls and spoken contracts with Tiltware executives back in 2004 in the filing, made in the Nevada District Court of Judge Robert C. Jones.

Asked for comment by Poker News, Tiltware issued the following terse public statement:

"Tiltware, LLC, has been made aware of the recent filing of a meritless lawsuit by a former Full Tilt Poker endorser - Ms. Cycalona Gowen.

"All claims have no merit and there are many inaccuracies improperly and unlawfully asserted by Ms. Gowen within her frivolous complaint. Tiltware LLC expects that this lawsuit will be dealt with accordingly by a competent court in due course."
