Playtech developer and licensor of software for the online, mobile and land-based gaming industry has launched a new agreement with Chilipoker thus strengthening it's position in the soon to be opened French online gambling market. Following its significant growth in the last few years Chilipoker, will become a direct licensee, following a run as a sub licencee on the Playtech platform.

Chilipoker has recently signed an agreement with 'Free', the second largest internet service provider in France, consolidating it's strategic position as an operator in France.

Chilipoker will provide its gaming services and brands to 'Free's' 12 million users. The growth of the brand has also been strengthened by a three year deal with World Poker Tour to set up televised events in Marrakech, and by its official sponsorship of the World Poker Congress in 2008.

Playtech's ongoing strategy to diversify into newly regulated markets is affirmed with this agreement. France has recently published draft regulations on internet gambling which upon approval by Parliament, will take effect in January 2010. Playtech founded in 1999, has over 800 personnel distributed globally, around seventy five percent of whom are engaged in research and development of current and future gaming technologies.

Chief Executive Officer of Playtech, Mor Weizer, commented on the deal, "We are delighted to have consolidated our relationship with Chilipoker in reaching an agreement for it to become a direct licensee. The French gaming market offers huge potential for gaming operators, and we will be looking more closely at establishing our foothold here in advance of the gambling regulation coming into force next year."

ChiliGaming Network was founded in 2006 by French Internet operators. The Chiligaming Network is a subsidiary of Gaminvest, a European iGaming holding company created in association with European entrepreneurs.
