PLAY ONLINE GOLF FOR TSUNAMI RELIEF
Red Cross comes up with a novel fund-raiser.
The American Red Cross organisation has come up with a novel way to raise cash for the Tsunami Relief Fund - online golf.
Online gamers nationwide will have the opportunity starting this month to help victims of the Tsunami disaster while they compete in a unique online golf tournament. The American Red Cross will receive all profits through December 30, 2005 from competitors who play in the online Red Cross Golf Tournament. The creators of the wildly popular game have teamed up with the American Red Cross to offer this one-time fund-raiser. All profits from participants who enter the tournament through December go to the American Red Cross. Over 100,000 golfers compete each week via the Internet, winning free trips.
