The social online gambling trend is making a lot of investors take notice of the potential of the movement and they are watching every move social network companies are taking. Facebook and Zynga for example have been making plans and deals to implement the social gambling for real money concept and capitalize on existing consumer interest. Zynga has partnered with bwin.party digital entertainment to realize its goals. Last October Barry Cottle, Executive Vice President, for Corporate and Business Development at Zynga said, "Bringing together Zynga's expertise in social gaming with the top international real money gaming operator is the best way to create the highest quality gaming experiences for our players in the UK," Cottle continued, "Partnering with an established leader like bwin.party is a strategic and prudent way for us to enter a key RMG market while giving local players the real money games they've been asking us for."

Facebook and Zynga decided a short time ago to part ways allowing them to go in separate business directions. Facebook continues to engage the online gambling industry by announcing it will send a representative to speak at the upcoming Online Bingo Summit in London on May 1-2. Bruce Bale, EMEA Gaming Manager, and Will Collins, Strategic Partnerships Manager, will present for Facebook at the Summit. It has been suggested that Facebook will reveal more about how and what it intends to introduce to the world of online gambling for real money on its massive social network. Facebook has recently made deals with Jackpotjoy and 888 to host real-money bingo products on its website.

The arrangements with these well known operators has made investors realize the company is serious but is going slowly to avoid errors and problems. Facebook is currently making bingo operations available only to Jackpotjoy and 888 to UK customers only. Facebook also recently released classic poker applications and slots on its social media web site.
