Rational Group Re-Brands Full Tilt As Online Casino

The scandal involving Full Tilt Poker and its allegedly shady deals in America has been largely forgotten by most poker fans except those who still haven’t seen the return of their funds.

Now the rebranding of Full Tilt is coming with the announcement that Full Tilt Poker will now be called Full Tilt Casino and Poker Stars will be the other poker brand available from parent firm Rational Group. The Rational Group operates gaming and related businesses and brands including PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, the European Poker Tour, PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, Latin American Poker Tour and the Asia Pacific Poker Tour.

Poker Stars was the main competition for Full Tilt Poker prior to the US Department of Justice crackdown in April of 2011. The settlement with the Department of Justice resulted in the Rational Group purchasing the Full Tilt brand and bailout of PokerStars along with massive fines.

The group has a truly international presence, with more than 1,500 employees in over 20 locations around the world. There are major service and support offices in Isle of Man, London, Ireland, Costa Rica, Australia, Spain, Italy, France and Malta, offering customer support in 29 languages.

The Rational Group has made the move to re-establish the Full Tilt Poker brand into an online casino. Recently Full Tilt began a software update that incorporates free to play blackjack and roulette casino games as part of a beta launch for the new Full Tilt Casino in designated regulated markets.

Eric Hollreiser, PokerStars’ Head of Corporate Communications commented on the developments saying the casino games will be made fully available following a successful trial. “Following the test period we will provide real money offerings in current and additional test markets. As always, we will provide the high quality player experience, integrity, security, safety and support that players have come to expect from Rational Group brands.”
