GTECH Appoints Scott Gunn to New Post.

Scott Gunn has accepted the post of Senior Vice-President of Global Government Relations and US Business Development, for GTECH Corporation a subsidiary of commercial lottery operator Lottomatica.

The American gaming technology and services firm GTECH Corporation, based in Providence Rhode Island U.S.A., became a wholly owned subsidiary of Lottomatica, on August 29, 2006. The stock for GTECH has been delisted in the United States but Lottomatica S.p.A has been listed on the Mercato Telematico Azionario in Milan as LTO, and has been managed by Borsa Italiana since May 17, 2001.

According to a GTECH news release, Lottomatica, along with GTECH now control 63% of the worldwide online lottery business. The companies employ more than 6,300 people worldwide and earned in excess of $ US 1.5 billion in 2005. GTECH, maintains operations centers in Australia, Belgium, Ireland, Poland and Brazil.

Gunn will be responsible for global government relations and strategy for the company which manages a worldwide network of government relations consultants.

Mr.Gunn has been engaged by GTECH for over a decade, with experience in sales, business development, public affairs and global operations. Most recently, he spent two years as the Vice-President of Western Region Operations.

CEO Patel went on to say, "As a result, his work on behalf of our customers has required substantial interaction with government, political, media and community representatives. Scott has spent his entire career in state and national politics and has built strong relationships at all levels of government. All of this makes him ideally suited to interact with key government officials and community representatives in addressing the various governmental and civic issues that impact GTECH and our subsidiaries."

GTECH has been pushing the envelope in technological innovation including, gaming servers, camera technologies, wireless play, service orientated architecture platforms, responsible gaming devices and risk engines.
