49er Casino:

49er Casino has been a hugely popular online casino for some years now, and recently changed software provider from Cryptologic to Real Time Gaming.

The casino is owned by Red Giant Ltd as British based online gaming company who have been managing online casinos since 1997. Red Giant Ltd also manages an online poker room called Sun poker and two other large online casinos, Omni Casino and Sands of the Caribbean (both currently using Cryptologic software).

Warner Bros has granted 49er Casino a licence to use the Looney Tune character Yosemite Sam as their logo. When you enter the casino lobby your find Yosemite Sam waiting to greet you in true Wild West style.

49er Casino can be downloaded from their website and from my experience it only takes about five minutes to complete the process. Once in the casino you will get the option to either for play for money or just fun. To play for money you will need to register by providing some personal information but nothing more complicated.

To make a deposit you have the options of NETeller, Insta Cash, Click 2 Play, credit card, Firepay, Money Bookers and Citadel. I made a $100 NETeller deposit and the money was instantly transferred to my new casino account.

When I made the deposit there was a couple of bonus offers available for first time players. First, a 100% match bonus up to the value of $200 for slots players with a 15x wagering requirement that can only be met on slots. There was also the Golden 100% sign up bonus, a match bonus up to the value of $100, which can be wagered on a wider variety of games but carries a larger 30x wagering requirement.

What I didn't realize when I deposited was that to claim to bonuses you must enter a coupon code when you make a deposit to receive to bonus. Hence, I didn't receive either of the bonuses and played to casino without carrying any wagering requirement.

In addition, the casino offers a 100% reload match bonus that is offered to players every month, this bonus also carries a wagering requirement of 30x. There's also a comps system called Gold Planner where every $10 wagered gets you one point and 100 point is exchangeable for $1.

The casino has good selection of games to offer, with them hosting most of the games that you would expect to find in an online casino in this day and age. However, with a quick tour of the games I was unable to find any game that seemed particularly unique in the 49er Casino selection.

Table card games offered are, Blackjack, Let em Ride, Baccarat, Caribbean Stud Poker, Pai Gow Poker, Casino War, Red Dog, Tri Card Poker and an extensive collection of 21 games. I started my session playing Let em Ride but unfortunately was unable to make any winnings on my five hands.

Thus with my balance already down to $75 I quickly felt the need to try another table game and choose to sample the blackjack table. Here I experienced somewhat better luck, hitting a hand full of Blackjacks during my 25 minute session. The Blackjack table allows the player to play two hands at once, and has a minimum wager of $1 and maximum of $250 per hand. By the end of my Blackjack session I was $10 down, but had the impression that the table was giving me a fair chance of winning.

Not having any wagering requirements, I decided to spend some time on the Baccarat table and enjoyed taking away a nice run of wins while betting on the player side. However, for some reason I got the impression that a line of wins was due on the banker side and choose to put my money their. This was not the case and I finished dropping some more money from the balance at the end of my Baccarat gaming. Any successful wagers on the draw section of the table will payout of 9 to 1.

49er Casino hosts a large collection of video poker games, the first one which I sampled was a Real Time Gaming favorite of mine - a 52 hander called All American Poker. To make a killing on these higher hand video poker games you need to start of with a poker hand on your first set of cards. This never happened for me as I never found more then a couple of cards I wanted to hold on each deal. The end result is that you always make some good hands out of the 52 but it rare that you win more then you wager. I'm still hoping that one day I'll have a starting hand of a straight flush or higher.

A new video poker games with a twist is called European Slot Poker, which is a strange mix of slots and video poker. It plays in a similar way as a video poker as you are dealt hands with the option of holding before redrawing. However, instead of using the classic card deck, the card is marked with fruit machine symbols. Your winnings are determined by the number of cards you get with the same symbol and the multiplier value of that symbol. The games promises an 8000 multiplier return if you collect five bar symbols. I never really hit if off with this game, but I can see why it would be popular with big video poker players.

There no shortage of slots for players to choose from, and I started my tour with a single liner called Light Speed. With a progressive jackpot of only $1,218 it's nothing to get too excited about, but the game is surprisingly fun to play and I made some good wins during my time on the machine.

I played another slots based on a similar concept called Diamond Mine where I struck three bar symbols on the line.

I also played a couple of spins on a slot called I.R.I.S 3000 which was flashing a huge progressive jackpot of $194,000 at the time. It's a single liner with a 7 reels and a game I've always enjoyed playing.

The last slot which I tried out was Lions Liar which is a twenty liner across five reels.

At this point my balance had been slowly depleted to around $40, so I decided to try and make some cash back on Craps. After some tens minutes of play my system was clearly not working so I went for the all or nothing bet on Blackjack. Lucky the bet come off and I double my money to $71 and went for the withdrawal.

There after I made a problem free withdrawal, with the money back in my NETeller account within a matter of days.

I was also completely satisfied with my correspondence with 49er Casino email customer support, who where highly responsive and helpful.

49er Casino certainly is an above average online casino, theirs a professional feel to the casino you have Yosemite Sam brighten the place up. On a whole I was totally satisfied with my experience at the casino and I am happy to suggest it to fellow online casino players.

49er Casino Strong Points:
  • A good selection of bonuses on offer, but if your not solely a slots player your going to face a hefty wagering requirement.
  • All the regular games that you expect to see in an online casino.
  • A wide range of slots to play, with different number of reels and lines across 49er selection.
  • Warner Bros endorsement, I would expect that if the casino was seen to act unethical in any manner Warner Bros would remove their licence. If this is the case their additional incentive for 49er Casino to act ethical.
  • A very fast withdrawal, my first NETeller withdrawal was completed in less than two days.
  • Good level of customer support
Things 49er Casino Could Improve:
  • It would be a bonus if 49er casino better utilize their new front man and had a Yosemite Sam game, but I expect this is something to look forward to in the future.
