Crazy Slots Review

CASINO CLOSED - Crazy Slots
Crazy Slots Casino

UPDATE: THIS CASINO HAS CLOSED! ------ Crazy Slots is one of a number of casinos operating using the Vegas Technology casino platform. This software has come on leaps and bounds in recent years and itching for a gamble we decided to give this relatively new casino a going over.

Crazy Slots operates via a download-only user interface. This isn’t a problem though since once the casino has been set up on your computer it just sits there waiting for you to play on. The only downside of not offering a flash version is that those that cannot install software on their machine won’t be able to play.

Thankfully the download and installation process is pretty straight forward with a player simply needing to click the appropriate link on the Crazy Slots website to obtain the installation file. This weighs in at just over 3mb which should not take too long to download even for those on slow connections. The only criticism I have is that once installed the casino then proceeded to take 5 further minutes updating itself. I can’t understand why the casino doesn’t just put the latest files in the installation program a player first downloads. Nevertheless, despite this I was soon up and running and ready to create a new Crazy Slots account.

Crazy Slots registration is equally straight forward with players completing a simple form to register their intent to play with the casino. This application process is dealt with in real time and such a player can be up and running within a matter of minutes. Play at Crazy Slots can be in a number of currencies and US players will be pleased to note that, apart from for members from a few states, their customer is welcome at this casino.

Depositing at Crazy Slots is a requirement if players want to try their luck for real, although a play mode of the casino is available to try out the games. The cashier at Crazy Slots is a pretty standard affair although the casino has made depositing as easy as possible thanks to the varied deposit options that can be used. I purchased on both my credit card and NeTeller account and had no problems with either.

On this occasion I chose not to take any bonuses (note players from a variety of countries are not allowed bonuses anyway – check terms and conditions). However, for new players a massive $12,500 bonus can be claimed on their first 15 deposits. This is one of the biggest bonuses available online although players should note a bonus of this size comes with some pretty decent wagering conditions. Also, this bonus is spread across multiple deposits so it can be slightly difficult keeping track of how to make the best from this ‘free money’.

When it comes to the game selection itself a decent number of games are available and the easy-to-navigate lobby breaks these down by type for easy player navigation. As such, table games players can go to their part of the casino whilst slot fans can check out the game selection in their own special menu.

I started my play as I often do at the tables. There’s just something about table games that really appeals to me. I think it’s the fact that whilst payouts are usually small, the odds are pretty much 50/50 and as such it doesn’t take much for games to boost a player’s bankroll if lady luck is on their side.

Blackjack has always been a favourite of mine and 5 varieties of this game exist at Crazy Slots. Vegas Strip, European and bonus games such as Bonus Pairs give players a good selection of games and with players able to bet from just a few dollars per hand up to many hundreds most players should be happy with the betting ranges on offer.

In terms of game presentation Crazy Slots’ table games are presented against a deep-blue table felt which has a very elegant feel to it. The graphics are generally good too with nice big cards making it very easy to see what is being dealt. Animation is also a big part of Crazy Slots and with sound effects also present this casino really does offer players a multi-sensory experience.

Of course, one of the biggest factors for any casino is whether the games play fair. Thankfully Crazy Slots players don’t need to worry since every game works of a tried and tested Random Number Generator (RNG). This means that every time a card needs to be dealt or a slot reel needs to spin, the RNG selects a random number and the game interprets that number in to a result. As such games play exactly like their land-based counterparts, although of course with online casinos players don’t even need to leave their houses!

After checking out a few more of the table games (all the favourites such as Stud Poker, War and Roulette are available here) I next went over to the Video Poker part of the casino. This is another game I’m partial too. I think I like the thought of winning a nice jackpot for a small outlay and with all the VP games at Crazy Slots offering a 4,000-coin top payout there’s definitely some nice jackpots to be hit.

I did particularly well playing the 4-hand Joker Poker game where after a re-deal I was dealt a couple of Flushes but also a nice Straight Flush. The only annoying this is I didn’t need the wild joker card to complete my hand so of course if I was playing this on a Jacks or Better machine my payout would have been much bigger. Nevertheless, a $25.00 return on a $2.00 bet isn’t to be sniffed at.

All the Crazy Slots games can be played across 1, 2, 3 or 4 hands. However, there’s only one Deuces Wild game that is played across more than 4 hands. As such, those players that like to be betting on many hands at once won’t like the game selection. For the occasional player like me though the VP games are decent enough and a good set of different machines exist offering players a wide range of play tables and rules to choose from.

Of course, with a name like Crazy Slots I couldn’t help but be drawn to the great range of slot games available. These include basic three-reel games right up to cool video slots with wild symbols and fun bonus games. There’s also a decent selection of progressive games and as such players are able to win massive jackpots for small outlay.

One game I had a great amount of luck on was the progressive Pay Dirt slot. Progressive games usually offer relatively poor odds since the main draw of these machines if the ever-growing jackpot. As such, unless a player can hit the jackpot the chances of getting decent wins is pretty low. However, I was lucky enough to line up three double-bars which paid off a massive 300 coins. Since I was betting at a $1 coin level it means my bankroll was boosted by a healthy $300. Of course, the £34,000 jackpot remained elusive but nevertheless a win like this doesn’t come along too often.

I also got lucky on the Fiesta video slot. This Mexican-themed game operates across 5 reels and contains a bonus round that is triggered by getting the correct line-up of symbols in the main game. I achieved this and went on to the bonus round where you get to smash piñatas for money. This is great fun and although my winnings in this bonus round were not huge it was fun to play the game knowing you were going to come out a winner.

Another fun aspect to Crazy Slots is that a range of tournaments run around the clock. These allow players to play games for a very small stake. If they end up being the player to win the most during the tournament they win some nice prizes. These tournaments run across both slots and table games and are a great way to win big for a small outlay. There’s even the odd free tournament to enter!

At the end of my session I had just about $400 left in my account. This is certainly a nice amount of money although on this occasion I decided to save the funds to play another day. Of course, I could have opted to cash in the website declares I would have been paid within around a week. This isn’t the greatest withdrawal speed and the fact this casino often wants various ID scans to be sent before any money is processed can also delay things. However, this casino does pay and particularly given the state of things for US players this is a positive.

Support at Crazy Slots is available via email and telephone. However, the telephone option is only free for US players – all others need to dial the US number. This shows how strongly US-focussed this casino is. However, the email facility does mean relatively-quick help is available for other players. Generally support is good at this facility and it’s always handy to know that help is available if you need it.

In summary my experience at Crazy Slots was pretty good. The software isn’t absolutely amazing but is certainly decent enough. A good selection of games is available and more importantly the software isn’t buggy and genuinely delivered a good playing experience. Some areas are slightly lacking – e.g. multi-hand VP but again this is a minor criticism. I do think payout speeds could be quicker but the fact that this casino pays is positive enough. Similarly, support is available 24/7 if things go wrong. If you are looking for a new place to play, or more importantly looking for a casino that will accept you where others won’t (e.g. US players), Crazy Slots may well be the answer. I’ll certainly be back to see if I can turn my $400 in to an even bigger win!
