VIP.com Review

Sorry, No US Players
VIP.com Casino:

VIP.com originally set up as an online sportsbook, and in that form it grew in popularity thanks to it's customer support, fast cash processing and for the general positive way in which the site was run. Since its inception the site has grown, and now offers poker and casino games for those interested. Indeed, it was the casino that caught my attention and so I decided to review this Real Time Gaming-powered offering.

VIP offers players the ability to play no-download games instantly in their browser window. However, it is the download version of the software that offers players the most choice in terms of games, and so it was this version that I decided to review.

As stated earlier, VIP download-casino operates using Real Time Gaming software. I've always liked this brand of software, but unfortunately the reputation of this particularly software brand has been tarnished by a number of non-reputable operators who have fleeced players through non-payment. However, knowing that VIP is certainly to be trusted I downloaded the 299k installed without concern. This download is actually just an installer that requests further files from the internet, but even for players on slow connections it should not take too long for VIP to install.

Once the casino is installed and running a user is presented with the log-on screen. VIP utilizes a multi-site, one-user-name policy, meaning if a user has used the sports book or played at the poker room they will be able to log on using their existing log on details. However, even for those that are completely new to VIP (as I was) registration is simple, with a form being used to capture pertinent information relating to the player.

The VIP lobby is an attractively designed gateway to the various games available which are accessed via a menu system. With games grouped by type it should be pretty simple for a player to find the game they want. The lobby also links through to the cashier, as well as displays various promotions - it's always nice to get more bang for your buck!

Speaking of money, it was the cashier that I first visited to make a $100 deposit. VIP offers a variety of depositing options, including standard options such as NeTeller and credit card. I deposited via NeTeller without issue, with the deposit instantly reflected in my account balance. As a new user I could have claimed a $100 free bonus (100% match) - but on this occasion I decided to play without the hassle of wagering requirements. A nice touch at VIP is that for players that like a bonus, as well as the initial sign-up bonus a health 20% on-going bonus is available for each and every deposit.

To begin my play I first checked out the VIP table games. This casino really does offer a lot of choice in this area, and as well as classics such as Blackjack and Baccarat, more obscure games such as Three Card Poker and even Casino Hold 'Em are also available. I personally opted to try some Red Dog action. This is a simple card game where a player is dealt two cards after playing a bet. Should a third card be dealt that falls between the initial two in terms of rank then the player wins! The majority of payoffs are even money (although a player can choose to double their bet if they think they can win). However, for initial cards that are close together a successful third card deal can pay up to 5:1!

From my play on the Red Dog table and indeed some of the others available, I have to say I was impressed with what I saw. Firstly, the betting limits are very great - Red Dog for example allows bets from $1 to $250. The graphics used are also great, and with sound effects used to enhance game play, it's definitely clear that VIP have tried to make their casino presentation as attractive as possible. The speed of game play should also be noted - Blackjack players who like a fast game for example, could easily play up to 15-20 rounds a minute at VIP!

Although I did enjoy my table game action, I had a real urge to play Video Poker when I decided to play at VIP, and as such it was this section of the casino that I visited next. RTG software has always had a good selection of VP games and VIP is no different. In fact, a huge variety of games is available with each offering different pay tables. The games are also available in multi-hand versions where up to 100 hands can be played at once! Although these multi-hand games can be costly, a good initial deal really can reward a player handsomely!

I had great fun playing the 10-hand Jacks or Better hand as was fortunate enough in one round to get a number of winners including a Straight Flush pay off! As with the table games, this game was definitely fun, although I would say perhaps the graphics were not quite as good as with the table game. Nevertheless, a lot of fun was definitely had playing this one. My only criticism would be that the multi-hand games appear to have payoff tables that are not that favorable to the player - for example, the Jacks or Better game pays 40 coins for a Full House compared to 45 often found elsewhere. Whilst for me this wasn't a massive drawback, regular players may find it slightly annoying that these games offer a slightly lower payback percentage than standard.

Another of the Video Poker games I checked out was 100-hand Deuces Wild. VIP offers a decent selection of wild games and with certain cards substituting for any other in the deck some big payoffs can really be had. During one round I played I was dealt two fours and a wild. This was automatically a winning hand, but by the end of the re-deal I'd managed to clock up some lovely winners including a healthy 5-of-a-kind!

At this point I had been playing for around and still had $90 in my account. I don't think this is bad going considering along the way I hadn't hit anything amazingly good. Of course, playing sessions can vary dramatically though - I've played before and one hundreds in minutes and at other times have lost an entire deposit without a win! Players need not worry about fairness though - VIP casino utilizes random number generation technology to ensure each game offers the player a completely fair game. As such, all it needs is a bit of luck and a player can become very rich indeed!

In an attempt to become rich myself, my final play took place on the VIP slots. As slot players will know, many spins on these games will result in nothing but with jackpots often running in the thousands, a lucky spin really can by life transforming. Thankfully, slots are something that VIP does well with a huge variety of both 'classic-style' and video-slots available.

One game I particularly enjoyed was Honey to the Bee. This is one of VIP's 'Reel Series' of slots. Each of these offer bonus rounds where free wins can be won for hitting the trigger combination. The games also have 'random jackpots'. These jackpots continually rise and can be hit at any time, regardless of the amount wagered. It's great to know that for a spin of just a few cents could be enough to win jackpots that have climbed beyond $10,000 previously! Unfortunately whilst playing this colorful game I wasn't lucky enough to get a jackpot. However, I did manage to activate the 15 free spin feature which paid off a lovely $70 for a $2 bet!

Another game I enjoyed playing was Sevens and Stripes. This is a classic-style three-reel game which uses American-themed icons to display winning combinations. Previously I've been lucky enough to hit a 5,000-coin payout on this game but on this occasion my luck didn't seem to be in! Unfortunately the game just kept taunting me by showing two out of three matching symbols on almost every spin!

Of course, some people like slots for the progressive jackpots that are sometimes available. Random jackpots (as mentioned earlier) are nice, but true progressives can offer truly huge jackpots. Indeed, at the time of playing the Good to be Bad slot jackpot was standing at over $80,000! This is a really fun slot where it's actually good to lose! Every consecutive losing spin builds a bank of free spins that can be played at any time. However, any winning spin blows that bank. The quandary comes in calculating whether to bank the free spins or to try and get enough to trigger the jackpot payoff!

Unfortunately all my play, whilst great fun, resulted in my bank balance reaching zero. I have to say though that there really is some fun to be had at VIP. As well as the 'grown up' games like Blackjack and Roulette, some of the slots are great fun and in the most part great graphics and sound effects are used to enhance the playing experience. I know as well that if I had cashed out my cash-in would have processed within literally a few hours - VIP prides itself on its cash handling facility which attempts to pay back winnings as quickly as possible.

Another key area of a casino to test is the support facility. At VIP this is offered through email, telephone and live chat. This is a great selection, although only toll free numbers are available for US players. Having said that, with both email and live chat available for players worldwide I really don't think VIP can be faulted in this area.

To conclude, VIP.com have done well to take their expertise and professionalism and to apply it to an online casino. Their choice of casino software is a good one resulting in a great selection of games that are well presented and importantly are fun to play. With great support and cash handling facilities also plus points of this casino I can understand why VIP is the casino of choice for some players. With a nice sign-up bonus available as well, I really do recommend VIP as a casino to try!
