Win Palace Casino:
NOTE THIS CASINO HAS CLOSED DOWN. Win Palace is one of a number of Real Time Gaming-powered casinos looking to cash in on the American love obsession with online casinos. Sadly US rules mean many casinos don't accept players from the US, so casinos like Win Palace take a small risk and try and fill the void. We decided to see what this casino had to offer.
Win Palace Casino is part of a group of casinos all powered by RTG software with Win Palace itself having operated since late 2009. As with most RTG-powered casinos, Win Palace can be accessed via browser-based software or via a download client. However, it is the latter that provides the fullest range of games (not to mention better graphics and overall game play). As such, we'd definitely recommend going down that route, and with installation and setup taking just a few minutes, there really isn't much of a hassle with the download process.
As with many casinos accepting US players, the play currency is the US dollar with non-US players having to manage any exchange rate conversion (having said that, a Euro version of the software can be downloaded). Another common theme between US-accepting casinos is that they allow deposits to be made via a number of different methods. Win Palace is no different with credit / debit card purchases accepted as well as by bank wire and ewallet. This latter category covers standard offerings such as NeTeller and MoneyBookers, but Win Palace also allows deposits via PaySafeCard and PayLinq. I was able to purchase $50 via my credit card without issue.
This $50 was instantly boosted to a starting bankroll of $150 thanks to the generous Win Palace sign-up bonus. Win Palace offer a variety of different sign-up bonuses and I particularly liked the PALACEWELCOME coupon since this allowed play on both slots and table games (many sign-up bonuses are often slot-only offers). Players should note that any sign up condition comes with wagering requirements, with up to $1000 in free sign-up money available Win Place is definitely a place to boost a starting bankroll. On-going bonuses are also available weekly showing again that Win Palace work hard to make your money go further.
On to the games and Win Palace offer the usual RTG selection of well over 200 games. These cover all categories from Table games to Video Poker games and from Slot games to parlour games such as Keno or Scratch cards. All games are presented via the easy-to-navigate lobby and a handy game preview panel shows some key details about the game in question. I particularly liked the slot preview which showed the slot volatility – something to consider if bankrolls are limited.
As with all RTG-powered casinos, Win Palace games offer the real excitement of Vegas but in the comfort of your own home. Many games use great graphics and sound effects to enhance the game play enjoyment and with many aspects of the casino being user configurable (game speed, sound effects etc.) a player can set things up exactly as they want. I started at the Blackjack table where players can bet between $1 and $100. This is an average range, although might be on the low side for high rollers.
I also checked out some of the other Table games available and found a spread from classics such as Caribbean Stud Poker and Baccarat to less common games such as Tri Card Poker. All are fun though and table players should definitely be happy.
Slot players should also be in their element with a massive range of both classic-style and video style slots available. The video slots in particular are great fun with many of them containing bonus features that can really boost a player's winnings. Many of the games also have random jackpots which continually climb when they hit. Considering slots can be paid from just a penny a line it means players could literally turn a penny in to many thousands of dollars – not bad going!
I was lucky enough to trigger the bonus on a number of games including Boy King's Treasure and Loose Caboose. Sadly these didn't pay out for too much, although the fun factor was definitely still there. I've hit bonuses before for many thousands so just the thought that this could be the “big one” definitely gets the heart beating!
There's also a decent range of Video Poker games available here, although I didn't find the games to be that aesthetically pleasing. That said, the range of games is excellent with both single and multi-hand games available. The range of games for differing pay tables is also great – anything from Jacks or Better to Deuces Wild to American Bonus Poker can be found here. The only slight criticism is that some of the pay tables are not the best I've seen online, although certainly there's still the chance to win big if that Royal Flush lands!
On this occasion despite a good run, the wagering conditions of the bonus got the better of me and as such I had nothing to withdraw. As usual though, I still explored this side of the casino. Sadly what I found wasn't that great. The casino has weekly withdrawal limits, although the terms and conditions state that the $3000 per week limit stated is actually a maximum and could vary based on class. I've seen online other players reporting of payouts being limited to as little as $750 a week. Similarly the casino itself admits withdrawals can take anything up to 10 business days to process. For me this really isn't acceptable and although there are no reports of this casino not paying, players have to be very strong willed not to reverse a withdrawal (and also be happy that any big wins will be paid over potentially several weeks). Although this casino does pay, we can only offer an advisory that players should tread carefully, particularly if they play big (and thus stand the chance of hitting a big payout amount).
One area that Win Palace performs better on is customer support. The casino has a range of toll-free numbers for both the States and a number of European countries. Email and live chat support is also available meaning players are able to get help any time of the day. This is a big plus and is one of the best support offerings I've seen for casinos that allow US players.
In conclusion Win Palace offers a good set of games and uses the respected Real Time Gaming platform which will be a hit with many players. The bonus offering is equally good and all players should have no problems depositing thanks to the numerous deposit options available at this casino. The big let down is with the finance handling and although this casino does pay, players should note before they deposit that withdrawals may take 5-10 days to be processed and similarly could be capped. For low-rollers this shouldn't be a problem but other players should definitely think carefully before playing here. Having said that, particularly for US players the number of casinos available to play at is limited and this casino still has a lot to offer. As usual, personal preference will rule the day and for some Win Palace may still become the casino they call ‘home'.
