XXL Club Casino Review

Sorry, No US Players Accepted at XXL Club Online Casino
XXL Club Casino:

XXL Club is a brand new casino that's been advertising itself as a 'trendy, one-stop gambling site'. I found this intriguing in itself, but when I noticed the Gold Rally jackpot was at an all time-high of over $2m, I couldn't resist giving this Playtech-powered casino a try.

XXL Club Casino is quite transparent with regards to management team visibility - the casino CEO, Frank Lloyd, even has his own 'welcome message' on the home page. I think this is a good sign of a reputable casino. In fact, a little more digging revealed that the investors for this casino are spread across Europe, with the casino having a Russian-based management team. This would explain the fact the casino can be installed in Russian and played in Rubles!

To play at XXL Club Casino, a player must first visit the sophisticated casino website. I have to say I was very impressed with the sleek look of the website, and more importantly with the different sections detailing important processes such as cash handling. The actual casino itself is downloaded via the 287k installer. This download should not take very long, regardless of connection speed. However, the casino will also send out a free software CD on request, so those that hate downloading can still easily obtain the software.

As stated earlier, while the casino operates in English (thus appealing to the American and European markets), the casino can actually be installed in Russian. The installation process itself is very straight forward, and within a few minutes I was presented with the log-on screen.

Of course, since this was a new casino to me I didn't have an account so headed over to the sign-up section. XXL Club accepts players from all over the world, and this is demonstrated by the fact the casino can be played in US $, Euros, UK £ and Russian Rubles. I chose to make a US $ account and after completing an easy form I was a member of the casino. From here, I logged in and was presented with the XXL Club Casino lobby.

XXL Club Casino has a reasonable number of games, and to make finding specific games easy, the casino has grouped games by type. This is a now-common technique used by casinos to make game access easy, but nevertheless touches like this still show that a casino has thought about the player experience. Of course, no games can be played until a trip to the cashier has taken place.

XXL Club utilizes the standard easy-to-use Playtech cashier. As such, depositing and withdrawing is made very simple. With regards to depositing options, XXL accepts a huge range of both online and real world deposit methods. I opted to deposit $100 by credit card, which went through with no problem. However, with so many deposit options available I am sure I could have found another method to use should my transaction have been declined.

As a new player depositing $100 I was instantly awarded a $100 bonus. Sometimes I am weary of bonuses, but because I wanted to hit that Gold Rally jackpot I decided the bigger my bank roll the better. In fact, new players can claim up to $400 on their first three deposits. For high rollers, up to $1000 can be claimed (for a $5000 deposit)! Of course; there are wagering conditions attached and a number of restricted games on these bonuses. As stated though, I was happy to hit the jackpot or go bust trying!

My first stop of course, was the Gold Rally game. This progressive game is very expensive to play (at $16 per spin). However, the jackpot of $2m was at an all time high at the time of playing, so it was definitely tempting. The high bet also means that some pretty big non-jackpot wins can be achieved - previously I've hit the bonus game for over $900.

My first few spins at this game were pretty terrible, and before long I was dipping down to the $100 mark. However, I then lined up three gun symbols for a nice $108 pay off. I did then try a few more spins but decided the volatility of this game was too much, even for my nicely sized bankroll. Of course, it's easy to get carried away in a game like this though, and the cool graphics and sound effects really do make the game appealing. I was impressed also at the speed the game played at. At some casinos I have noticed a real slow down in progressive game speed when the jackpot is big because of the huge number of players trying to grab it. That wasn't noticeable at all here though.

The next game I played was the Bermuda triangle game. This game too has been kind previously, and so I opted to bet $10 per spin. This proved to be a great move - as within about 3 spins I lined up three dolphin symbols for a $50 winner. A few spins later and I hit a $200 winner! At this point I was up to $541 and would very happily have cashed out. Of course, that bonus meant I couldn't - why didn't I follow my usual advice and say no to the bonus?!

The next slot I moved to was the Rock 'N' Roller game. This was similar to the Bermuda Triangle slot I had just done well on, and as such decided to bet $25 per spin. While this is huge, I thought my bank roll would support this bet and at the same time significantly contribute towards wagering requirements. Unfortunately, this proved to be a terribly bad strategy and apart from a few mediocre wins, I managed to wipe out around $300 of my bankroll.

In fact, I managed to hit zero before meeting the wagering requirements! I guess this is one of the downsides of bonuses. While I did have fun on some of the slots, particularly the Desert Treasure game with its cool free spin and bonus games, it was still annoying to hit zero when at one point I had a healthy balance. Of course, my review of the casino wasn't complete, so I then decided to make a further $40 deposit. This time though I requested no bonus in case I won big!

My next stop was to play on some of the less volatile table games. XXL Club Casino has a good range of table games, ranging from classics such as Blackjack to more modern games such as 3-Card Poker and even the obscure Casino Hold'Em. Specifically, I began my second round of play at the Casino War table. This game is very easy to play - basically a player needs to be dealt a higher card than the dealer. This game can be great if the streaks are favorable, but here I came away with pretty much what I started with.

I also tried out the multi-hand Blackjack table and the roulette table, and while I enjoyed my play here, these games were not doing anything for my bankroll! I did appreciate the fact that low-rollers can still enjoy XXL Club, but even this isn't helpful when the cards are not kind! Of course, high rollers can still enjoy XXL Club, and with $300 spot minimums at Blackjack it means players can bet up to $1500 on 5 spots at the multi-hand BJ table.

Of course, fairness of games is something that every player is concerned about. Thankfully, XXL Club employs a sophisticated Random Number Generator to ensure fair play. Even better though, they also offer some live dealer games. This means that players who really don't trust the RNG can play against real life dealers beamed via web cams to every player's home!

As I said though, the table games were not too kind to me - and as such I decided to see if I could finish my play on a high by winning on the Video Poker games. With regards to the range of video poker games available, I would say XXL Club put on a reasonably good spread. Classic games such as Jacks or Better or Deuces Wild are available. However, some of the newer video poker games such as Bonus Poker are not available. Similarly, the range of multi-hand games is not huge. Nevertheless, for the occasional video poker player, the selection should be fine.

Unfortunately; the bad luck I experienced at the tables continued to the Video Poker section, and I soon found myself with another zero balance. I did have fun though, and particularly liked the 2 Way Royal game which pays out a 4,000 coin jackpot for both a traditional royal flush, as well as a low straight-flush. I also tried out some of the multi-hand games, and really liked the 25-line Aces and Faces game, mostly because it paid out a $91 win. This win was by far my biggest though, and generally the games were not too kind to me.

As such, despite a great start on the slots I ended up with nothing to cash in. If only I had not taken that bonus, I could have been walking away happy! Despite having nothing to cash in though, I did still check out the withdrawal policy at XXL Club Casino. According to the website, withdrawals are processed after a respectable 4 business days. This isn't the fastest I've seen, but is still reasonable. The one thing that I didn't like was that a $10,000 monthly withdrawal limit is imposed on all players. This is likely to be unappealing to large players and for even small players, means a big jackpot could take a few months to pay out.

As with all casinos, I also checked out the XXL Club Casino support. At many Playtech-powered casinos I am sometimes disappointed with the support options available. However, this definitely isn't the case with XXL. Email, telephone, live chat and even a call back services are all utilized to make contacting support incredibly easy for the player. What's more, all these contact options work well - and I was impressed with the help provided by the courteous and knowledgeable support personnel.

To conclude, I have to say I was pretty impressed with XXL Club Casino. Obviously, it is still in the early days for this casino, but from what I have seen they are definitely trying their hardest to live up to their marketing blurb. The casino is attractively presented with a decent number of games. Similarly, important functions of the casino such as cash processing and support seem to work well. While I didn't win big, I have to say I did enjoy playing here. The only downside I can see is the monthly withdrawal limits. Apart from this, the casino has made a great entrance to the online casino stage. I think XXL Club is definitely a casino worth checking out.
