The Different Sic Bo Bets
Sic bo is very similar to roulette, and much like roulette Sic Bo offers you the choice of many different types of bets. Below I will explain the different types of Sic Bo bets, and tell you the odds and probabilities of each bet.
Bet on Small
The small bet is a bet on the total score of the 3 dice being between 4 to 10. If the total score is between 4 to 10 you
will be paid at 1-1 on your bet. The exception is if 3 of a kind is rolled, in which case you lose your bet.
The probability of winning a bet on Small is 48.61%. The casinos advantage on this bet is only 2.76% - this makes the small
bet the best bet you can make at the Sic Bo table.
Bet on Big
This bet is the opposite of the small bet. The BIG bet is a bet on the total score of the 3 dice being between 11 to 17.
If the total score is between 11 to 17 you will be paid at 1-1 on your bet. The exception again is if 3 of a kind is rolled - then you
lose your bet. The casinos advantage on the Big Bet is only 2.76% - this makes the Big Bet the best bet you can make at the Sic Bo
table, along with the small bet.
Bet on Two of a Kind
On the Sic-Bo table there are 15 different combinations on which you can bet on two of a kind. For example: Betting on 1 and 2.
If you have a look at the screenshot above, you can see that a bet on a 1 and 5 or 1 and 6 would have been a winning bet. The odds
for this bet vary from casino to casino, though most online casinos offer odds 1-6. Some Las Vegas casinos only offer odds of 1-5.
The probabilities of winning a Two of a Kind bet is 13.89%, and the house advantage with odds 1-5 is 18.52% - so you should not be
placing these kinds of bets at all.
Bet on Double
This is a Sic Bo bet that the 3 dice will make a pair. For example a pair of 6s. The odds for this bet are 1-11 at many online
casinos; but remember to have a closer look at the odds before you place your bets. The probabilities of winning a Double Bet is
7.41%.
Bet on Triplet
A bet on a triplet is a bet on a specific triplet being rolled. As an example, you might bet on 3 five's being rolled. The payout
for this bet is 1-180 at most online casinos. The probabilities for winning such a bet is only 0.46 and the house advantage is
16.20%.
Any Triplet
This is a bet on 3 of a kind being rolled - for example 3 Fours - or any other triplet. The odds for such a bet is 1-31 at
many online casinos. Las Vegas casinos do not usually have these kind of odds, they pay lower odds for any triplet bet. The
probability of winning a any triplet bet is 2.78%.
Bet on 1 to 6
Sic Bo players can place a bet on any number between 1 and 6. If the number you placed your bet on is rolled one time - you
will be paid at 1-1. If the number you placed your bet on appears 2 times, you will be paid odds 1-2, and if the number appears
3 times you will be paid at odds of 1-3. The probability of hitting one matching number is 34.72%. The probability of hitting 2
matching numbers is 6.94% and the probability of hitting 3 matching numbers is 0.46%. The house advantage on this bet is 7.87%.
Bet on 4
This is a bet on the total of all 3 dice being 4. The odds for this bet at online casinos is 1-62. This is much
better then land based casinos odds. The probability of winning such a bet is 1.39%.
Bet on 5
This is a bet on the total score of all 3 dice being 5. The odds for this bet at online casinos is 1-31. This is much
better then land based casinos odds. The probability of winning such a bet is 2.78%.
Bet on 6
This is a bet on the total score of all 3 dice being 6. The odds for this bet at online casinos is normally 1-18. This is
much better then land based casinos odds. The probability of winning such a bet is 4.63%.
Bet on 7
This is a bet on the total score of all 3 dice being 7. The odds for this bet at online casinos is 1-12. This is
much better then land based casinos odds. The probability of winning such a bet is 6.94%.
Bet on 8
This is a bet on the total score of all 3 dice being 8. The odds for this bet at online casinos is 1-8. The probabilities
of winning such a bet are 9.72%.
Bet on 9
This is a bet on the total score of all 3 dice being 9. The odds for this bet at on online casino is 1-7. This is
better then land based casinos odds. The probabilities of winning such a bet is 11.57%.
Bet on 10
This is a bet on the total of all 3 dice being 10. The odds for this bet at online casinos is 1-6. The
probability of winning such a bet is 12.50%.
Bet on 11
This is a bet on the total score of all 3 dice being 11. The odds for this bet at online casinos is 1-6. The
probability of winning such a bet is 12.50%.
Bet on 12
This is a bet on the total score of all the 3 dices being 12. The odds for this bet at online casinos is 1-7. This is
