Cha-Ching! Zitro Cabinets Come to Orus Casino

Gaming provider Zitro has announced that they will be partnering with Orus Casino in Mexico to provide the Illusion and Allure cabinets, which have made a huge splash in Latin America, particularly in Mexico. This is just the latest in a series of major announcements from Zitro indicating a deeper move into the Latin American market, including the recent news of a planned Zitro office in Bogotá, Colombia.

Illusion and Allure at Orus Casino

Fans of Zitro games in Mexico will be happy to learn that Zitro’s beloved Illusion and Allure cabinets will be available at the elite Orus Casino, just the latest casino in the Central American country to feature the popular cabinets, which offer games including Bashiba Link, 88 Link Lucky Charms, and 88 Link Wild Duels.

In addition to the popular games offered by the Illusion and Allure cabinets, casinos are particularly fond of the technology behind the innovative, user-friendly cabinets, which are made to be as compact as possible, to take up relatively little floor space in the casino and allow comfortable leg room for players.

“Our casinos stand out for always being at the forefront of technology incorporating the latest market trends to offer our customers unique experiences. In Zitro we find an ideal partner with whom we share many values on the path to excellence.”Spokesperson, Orus Group

Zitro Makes A Splash in Mexico

Zitro’s new deal with Orus Casino comes after months of exciting partnerships with casinos around the world, but the developer’s newest cabinets seem to have found particular success in Mexico. Considering that the casinos launched at the G2E Summit in Las Vegas in October 2019, this is pretty impressive!

So far, the Illusion and Allure cabinets have been launched around the country, including at casinos like Big Bola Casinos, Caliente Casino, Casino House, Winpot Casinos, Palacio de los Numeros, Miravelle Palace Casino, and — in a particularly exciting recent deal — with Codere, one of the largest casino operators in the Latin American market.

In fact, thanks to the Codere deal alone, there are now 6,000 Zitro gaming cabinets at Codere’s Mexico casinos — 1,000 of which are the Illusion and Allure cabinets. This deal also came after a particularly difficult year for Codere in Mexico’s market, so the gaming giant is likely hoping for a hail mary with these extremely popular machines.

What Is Orus Casino?

Orus Casino is a casino located in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. In addition to a roster of slot machines — now including the Zitro cabinets! — Orus Casino offers multi-game machines, poker, and four table games. The casino also offers sports betting, stocked with parley cards, pools, and predictions for each week’s games.

Why Mexico?

The decision for Zitro to expand in Mexico with its Illusion and Allure cabinets comes as no surprise for those who are familiar with the Zitro founder and CEO Johnny Ortiz, who has made no secret of his belief that Mexico offers untapped potential for the international gaming industry.

This is a belief that many industry leaders share, even as the country offered terrible losses for Codere Mexico in 2019, and Mexico’s President, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (also known as AMLO) has expressed open hostility to gambling, going so far as to ban the opening of any new casinos during his administration.

Codere Mexico: An Exception To the Promise?

Still, international businesses undoubtedly recognize the potential for the gaming industry within Mexico. It should be noted here, too, that the extremity of Codere Mexico’s losses in 2019 could be attributed to the discovery by the company that a business manager in Mexico was intentionally misreporting finances.

The dishonest business from a Codere Mexico manager ultimately resulted in the equivalent of $16.4 million USD in losses. A recently released annual report from the company later revealed that the company suffered losses globally, but particularly in Mexico, where Q4 revenue fell 14 points from the year before.

Big Moves for Zitro Throughout Latin America: Link King

While it seems the gaming operator has really hit a stride making sales of the Illusion and Allure cabinets in Mexico, Zitro has also found great success with another cabinet in other parts of the Latin American market: the Link King, a machine which comes stocked with four eye-catching games.

The Link King, like the Illusion and Allure cabinets, was introduced just last year, and offers four games with a progressive bonus: Asian Woods, Lady Dragon, Gods Land, and Casino Mix. Since their release, the Link King machines have been in high demand around the world.

As of today, casinos including Barcelona’s New Bingo Badalona; Klaipèda, Lithuania’s Nese Casino; Badajoz, Spain’s Gran Casino de Extremadura; and in casinos across San Marino and Paraguay have enthusiastically premiered Zitro’s extremely popular Link King cabinets to great results. Players love the smooth gameplay and multi-denomination option of the Link King games.

And That’s Not All: Zitro Comes to Colombia

Shortly after the announcement from gaming regulators in Colombia which revealed the tremendous success of gaming in the country, Zitro announced that they are building an office in Bogotá, the capital city of Colombia. The office will be run by a new employee, Diana González, who will handle sales management for the new branch.
