Software Developer, Betsoft, Launches Yak, Yeti and Roll Slot

Casino software development company, Betsoft, has released a new slot game titled Yak, Yeti and Roll.

Yak, Yeti and Roll uses a standard five-reel, three-row grid which pays left to right over 20 paylines. Betsoft has not published the return to player (RTP) rate of the Yak, Yeti and Roll game, nor shared the volatility.

The business announced the official launch of the winter-themed slot game on 16 December, in order to coincide with the holiday season.

“Yak, Yeti and Roll is releasing at an exciting time,” said Annamaria Anastasi, Marketing Director for Betsoft.

“Not tied to any particular celebration, the game is designed to evoke feelings of warmth in winter, which are common across the entire holiday season. We built that atmosphere with larger-than-life characters, jolly artwork, a wonderful soundtrack, and a clear paytable – creating a game with the broadest possible appeal for winter 2018/19 and beyond.”

At the same time, Yak, Yeti and Roll comes at a vital juncture for Betsoft, incorporating our full range of newly-developed proprietary technologies. Annamaria Anastasi, Marketing Director, Betsoft

Anastasi continued, “We have also just released our genre-redefining Max Quest title, and Yak, Yeti and Roll demonstrates that, as well as introducing all-new experiences, we also lead the industry in character-driven traditional slots.”

The slot was developed in Betsoft’s ‘Trail System’, which is a type of progressive gameplay where a winning spin will trigger an extra feature. In this game, the Yeti character drives over the top of one of the gems that are always at the bottom of the grid, which can be a multiplier, free spins, or instant cash winnings. There is a total of 17 gems that can be triggered in a streak of winning spins, with a maximum win of 200x the total bet.

The free spins feature is triggered when the yeti character rolls his spiked snowmobile over the top of a yellow gem. The free spins feature can also be bought by the player for a pre-set cost, if the player wishes to automatically trigger it rather than wait for the progression.

The gamble option that is included in this title is called ‘Double Up’ and is offered after any standard win. It cannot be selected after any wins from free spins. It offers a simple heads or tails system where the player can choose to gamble all or half of their winnings.

The symbols used on the Yak, Yeti and Roll slot game include the J, Q and K capital letters that are used to represent face cards, as something of a traditional remnant of the classic slot games. There is also an igloo, gloves, the snowmobile, a husky, and a doe with a flower on its antlers. The bearded man wearing a fur coat that is also seen riding in the yeti’s snowmobile acts as the Scatter symbol while the Yeti itself is the Wild symbol, which replaces any symbol except the scatter.

Other features of the slot include a turbo play mode, which will remove all of the animations from gameplay and instead shows only winning paylines and any activated multipliers. There is an autoplay feature with a number of customiseable settings. The settings can be changed to reflect the player’s choice of wager per line, how many spins, and whether or not play should stop on a certain value of wins or losses.

According to Betsoft, the game is compatible across all types of devices, so players can access Yak, Yeti and Roll from their desktop computer, as well as any type of iOS or Android-powered smartphone or tablet device. Betsoft has titled this multi-platform development program as ‘SHIFT’, which it uses on many of its latest release games. This includes the company’s recent ChilliPop slot game as well as it’s innovative Max Quest: Wrath of Ra shooting game.

Yak, Yeti and Roll joins Betsoft’s casino game development portfolio, which currently includes more than 190 different titles. The business is currently based in Malta and licenced by the Malta Gaming Authority and offers its games in at least 15 various regulated markets, however its games are not currently available for UK-based players. Demo versions of its games are available on the Betsoft website.
