4ThePlayer Creates Groundbreaking Features

Finally released to the public this month as part of the YGS Masters program, 9k Yeti has been a long time coming for game developer 4ThePlayer. As its first release, this title is key in paving the way for the company’s reputation. The signs are looking good so far, as 9k Yeti looks like it is sure to live up to the hype. A balance of exciting gameplay, solid mechanics and features completely new to the industry mark this out as a high-quality video slot.

“We are very proud of our first slot release. Being players ourselves we have spent a lot of time making sure it’s a game we would want to play. Adding the excitement and big win potential we want from games.”Andrew Porter, CEO, 4ThePlayer

In 9k Yeti, players will adventure to the summit of Mount Everest, fighting off the fearsome yeti. Stay on the lookout for the yeti’s footprints, as these will trigger free spins and a snowstorm feature. Losing spins will be swept around the reels, guaranteeing the player a win. Up to 88 free spins can be triggered and many more can be retriggered. 9k Yeti, as the name suggests, offers wins of over 9000x. With an RTP of 97% and a volatility of 99%, this slot should prove a lot of fun for players. There are 4096 paylines, which means that there are absolutely loads of ways for players to win. 9k Yeti is supported across all popular browsers and platforms, allowing customers seamless play.

The feature that will get the industry and players equally excited is its brand new ‘Big Reel Portrait Mode’. Mobile slot players will be familiar with how badly some video slots can be adapted for small devices. 4ThePlayer’s portrait mode means that the game can be played with the phone upright, rather than on its side. Up to 70% of the screen can be used to display the game in this mode, in comparison with the usual 20% for mobile slots. To make this possible, the designers have stacked the reels on top of each other, spinning from right to left. The ‘Big Reel Portrait Mode’ really showcases 9k Yeti’s quality graphics and creates an immersive player experience.

Speaking about the development, 4ThePlayer’s CEO Andrew Porter had this to say. “It’s particularly pleasing to create a user-friendly portrait play with our industry-first Big Reel Portrait Mode™ creating a portrait play that players can easily see, engage with and enjoy.”

In Collaboration with Yggdrasil

9k Yeti has been released as the fourth title of 2019’s YGS Masters series. For this platform, Yggdrasil has collaborated with independent studios around the world to “develop and distribute global gaming content using cutting-edge technology”. Over the course of the last year, Yggdrasil has worked with leading studios such as Rabcat, AvatarUX, Northern Lights, Dreamtech Gaming and Fantasma Games. The exclusive platform is by invitation only. Before the release of 9k Yeti, three other titles had been released; Niagara Falls, Nikola Tesla’s Incredible Machine and Lilith’s Inferno.

“We’re delighted to be launching our fourth YGS Masters slot of the year with 4ThePlayer.com. Together we have created a fantastic mobile-first game that players will instantly take to and want to come back to time and again”Stuart McCarthy, Head of Studio Partnerships, Yggdrasil

Yggdrasil itself is renowned for producing top tier products for the igaming industry. Since 2013, the company has consistently been winning industry awards for the software it creates. In September, Yggdrasil Gaming released the acclaimed slot Yokozuna Clash. The character of Yokozuna, a real life professional wrestler in the WWF, is brought life in a lively game that takes players to the heart of the dohyo.

Games Made by the Players, for the Players

4ThePlayer is a company that produces innovative mobile gambling games. It prides itself on its fresh outlook and combined gaming industry experience of more than 50 years. As players of games themselves, the team at 4ThePlayer is in touch with what works and what doesn’t. In this sense, the up and coming producer is able to put out original content that pushes the boundaries.

Andrew Porter and Chris Ash first founded 4ThePlayer in July of 2018. The pair has a long history of working together and valuable experience of the industry. They first became colleagues at Ash Gaming, which was acquired by Playtech in 2011. At Ash Gaming, Porter rose through the ranks, eventually becoming the company’s Managing Director. Before founding and becoming the CEO of 4ThePlayer, Porter was also the Casino Content Director.

Chris Ash is 4ThePlayer’s Director of Business Development. Prior to this, he was the founder of Ash Gaming, which was once the UK’s leading content development company. 4ThePlayer may only be at the beginning of its journey, but it already has clear objectives around what it wants to achieve. According to the company’s mission statement, “Our goal is to create the most exciting games for players”. This involves ensuring that its games are concise, innovative and responsible. The player’s experience is at the heart of developing games, so their priorities are key to 4ThePlayer’s success.

It is also vitally important that its products suit the needs of the casinos that will offer them. To this measure, the games will be “built from the ground up to propagate well through all forms of marketing and by word of mouth”. Taking note of the latest platform and promotional tools, the games will be designed well with memorable characters and innovative marketing kits. Maths is also at the center of these games, so that they can offer big win potential and remain exciting for players.

With industry expertise like this at 4ThePlayer, it’s not surprising that it’s achieved what it has in such a short period of time. In the world of online casinos, this up and coming game developer is certainly one to watch.
