Superstar DJ

Isle of Man based software provider and market leader Microgaming has unveiled its latest roster of new games to be released throughout November. Leading the line-up in an industry first is a project created exclusively with global phenomenon deadmau5, and Eurostar Studios. The new five-reel slot is sure to appeal to fans of the Canadian DJ and long-time followers of Microgaming alike.

For those who haven’t followed this musical superstar’s career, deadmau5 is an electronic DJ specializing in progressive house music. For the first time ever, he has lent his sounds to a casino slot. Microgaming’s new slot, named after deadmau5 himself, is built on five reels and boasts 243 ways to win. Players can expect slick graphics and cool visualizations to accompany deadmau5’s stellar soundtrack. In fact, deamau5 fans will even recognize visuals from his Cube v3 tour.

In addition to his prolific musical releases, Deadmau5 is also well known for his distinctive appearance. His iconic “mau5head” mask features large mouse ears and glowing grin. Now one of the most instantly recognizable logos in the world, the mau5head mask features in Microgaming’s new slot, alongside his best music. Perhaps the person most excited about the release of this new slot is deadmau5 himself. Speaking in a press release, deadmau5, real name Joel Zimmerman, said:

“After performing in casinos, having a residency in Vegas, and playing so many casino games, I am thrilled to finally have a game of my own!”

As fans of Microgaming’s output have come to expect, in “Deadmau5” special features are in abundance. There are Rolling Reels and Cube Scatters, which can trigger up to 25 free spins with up to a 10x multiplier. The Drop the Wilds mechanic randomly turns either reels two, three or four, guaranteeing players a win.

“Deadmau5” was released on November 5th and is available through all of Microgaming’s platform operators. Andrew Booth, Director of Games at Microgaming has also expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration. Booth said:

“Joel is one of the most exciting and successful electronic music artists of all time, and his deadmau5 brand is a hit with audiences worldwide, extending far beyond its genre. We’re thrilled to have teamed up with Eurostar and deadmau5 to create Microgaming’s latest branded game, which has performed brilliantly during an exclusive release period with select operators.”

Studio Collaborations

While deadmau5 has garnered a massive fanbase around the world, his music won’t appeal to everyone. For players who prefer games with more a historic footing, Microgaming has worked with long-time collaborators Just For The Win to produce “Neptune’s Riches”. Microgaming has a well-established relationship with Just For The Win, having released titles “Deco Diamonds Deluxe”, “Tiki Vikings”, and most recently “Spectre Estate” in September. “This underwater adventure is shrouded in Roman myth and goes live on November 17th.

“Neptune’s Riches” is a highly volatile slot based on five reels and three rows. Rising Wild Respins can be triggered on reels two, three and four. They move up by one position with each spin and have an available multiplier of up to 10x. There’s a Walking Wild Free Spins feature too, which can be launched by landing three scatters. This feature sees a permanent stack of wilds “walk” across the reels. In doing so, it absorbs other wilds which increases its multipliers. Players will find many ways to win in this subaquatic fantasy.

Microgaming has also worked with Neon Valley Studios to produce another Roman themed offering, this time based firmly on dry land. “Augustus”, allows players to mint coins for historic emperor Augustus, for the chance to win big. It’s another highly volatile game, featuring Full Wild Reels illustrated with the Emperor and his high Praetorian Guard. They guide players inside the Temple of Augustus, where they are invited to participate in the Volatility Pick Bonus Feature. Players can then choose up to three Wild Reels for up to 25 free spins.

All41 Studios has produced “Tiki Reward”, which will be available to play on Microgaming’s exclusive content platform on November 10th. With a colorful Polynesian theme, this 50-payline slot features Tiki Wilds that can substitute for other symbols and act as multipliers. Players who are lucky enough to land three Tiki Wilds that are the same color will win the matching Tiki Jackpot. The top prize is the Gold Tiki Jackpot, which is 1,000x the total bet.

Players who are already familiar with Microgaming’s output will no doubt know Reel Gems, released six years ago. That slot was a smash hit, and now Alchemy Gaming has created a new spin on it called “Reel Gems Deluxe”. This new update really amps up the excitement of the original game, with Hyperspins, Radiant Spins and Free Spins with Retrigger Level Up. Players can already try their luck with “Reel Gems Deluxe”, as it was released on November 3rd.

A New Spin on Traditional Games

It’s not all about slots this month though. Those who prefer a more classic game can look forward to Switch Studios’ “Multifire Roulette”, which comes out on the 26th. This game provides a novel spin on European roulette, with Multifire multipliers that offer up to 500x the initial stake. This is also a game that looks and feels very different to traditional roulette games, thanks to its flaming graphics and an immersive soundscape.

“Real Baccarat with Sarati”, is also coming out on November 19th. Real Dealer Studios has produced this game, borrowing from the forward-thinking techniques it employed for its Real Roulette series. glamourous croupier Sarati hosts the game, adding an immersive and classy feel to the experience.

Microgaming has also announced its first Christmas themed game of the year. “A Tale of Elves”, produced by Aurum Signature Studios, boasts 243 ways to win and plenty of special features. Players can get in the mood for the festive season with this slot’s stacked wilds and free spins.

While Microgaming is now renowned for the talented network of studios it has developed, such as Neko Games, it does also deal in non-exclusive games too. This November will see a large portion of these games added, including the entire back catalogue of UNIKRN, a company that deals in esports betting and entertainment media. Storm Gaming’s “Monsters of Rock” and Inspired’s “Neon Pyramid” will also be added.

Finally, Andrew Booth and Bradley Johnson are set to host a webinar later this month discussing “Shamrock Holmes Megaways”. Booth is Microgaming’s Director of Games, and Johnson is Head of Game Design at All41Studios, the studio that developed the upcoming game. “Shamrock Holmes Megaways” will be Microgaming’s first game to benefit from the magic of Megaways.
