Online Betting On Tennis Competes With FIFA

Taking advantage of betting online is easy today especially when there are so many things to wager on. Sports betting is particularly interesting because there is the opportunity sometimes to bet while the matches are in progress. The FIFA World Cup 2014 is drawing massive audiences from everywhere on the planet with online wagering peaking to previously unheard of heights. Even though football has dominated the public’s fascination the sport also getting a great deal of attention is professional tennis.

The Wimbledon tennis matches have been a one on one experience that has spotlighted how talented and athletic the competitors are. The last day has brought tears to many eyes but the odds on who would win were very tight indeed. Today though at Centre Court at Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer in a thrilling final 6-7(7), 6-4, 7-6(4), 5-7, 6-4 in three hours and 56 minutes, thus regaining the world No.1 spot.

After a five-set thriller in the men’s championship and a dominant performance in the women's matches the 2014 Wimbledon Grand Slam has concluded. Petra Kvitova showed on her way to the top, a 6-3, 6-0 win just how great she can be. At only 24 years old, Kvitova is now a two-time Wimbledon champion.

After winning, Kvitova spoke to Simon Cambers of The Guardian about the pressure, “I think I need to try to enjoy it. Otherwise I really can’t [cope]. I’m not the kind of person who can act with something. So I think I need to enjoy it a little bit. But it is going to be tough for me. Maybe it will help that I already know what it feels like to be champion. It is a great experience and I remember the good and bad things from that time.” The pressure is going to be there again a little bit. More pressure than there was. I can’t imagine what it is going to be like again. All I know is that I am just glad that I won.”
