Eurosport and MCD Launch Turkish Sports Betting Site

The European sports entertainment group Eurosport has recently announced it has lunched it's eleventh web site. The international website located in Turkey will be a great boon to Turks who like to gamble. MCD Digital, a leading Turkish Digital Media Company (MCD), and Eurosport are to a locally produced the internet sports portal.

The portal is designed to accommodate local and international content. The live commentary and quality sports news by top local and international sports writers, will benefit from Eurosport's well established technological infrastructure and development capacities to offer internet users an excellent streaming experience based on the latest internet technology.

The Turkish language site underlines the group's strategy to continue geographical and digital expansion by establishing strong local partnerships according the Eurosport spokesperson. They commented, "The partnership between Eurosport and MCD Digital will further extend Eurosport’s online audience, interactivity and sports community in Turkey, which is today the fourth largest internet sport market in Europe, accounting for 9 percent of the European sport audience."

Eurosport Group's Chief Executive Officer, Laurent-Eric Le Lay said, "Extending the Eurosport brand footprint in Turkey is an important step for our group. Since 2000, Eurosport has enjoyed success in Turkey thanks to the popularity of the localised versions of our TV channels Eurosport, Eurosport 2 and Eurosport HD. It was natural for us to expand our media platform to include internet and we are delighted to partner again with MCD to offer Turkish sports fans a new comprehensive digital sports destination."

Content will be edited in Istanbul by MCD Digital’s dedicated team and backed up by the international editorial and technology teams from Eurosport. The editorial team will give the user premium international sports content on 120 different sports while MCD Digital's team will produce local content catering to Turkish fans emphasizing football and basketball coverage.
