Fantasy Sports Trade Conference June 13-14 New York

The online casino industry has been taking notice of the amount of interest and cash that has been garnered by fantasy sports and its online gambling influence. Overall the online gambling industry seems to welcome a pastime for punters that requires skill and not just random luck enabling the definition of real money gambling to be debated and defined.

The Fantasy Sports Trade Association is an organized group that speaks as one voice for the integrity and legality of the fantasy sports industry. Similar to the Poker Players Alliance it has a mission to make sure the rights of poker players are preserved.

The Fantasy Sports Trade Association has two conferences per year that tackle and present viewpoints that are of concern to the members of the organization. This year the event will be at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, New York on June 13 through 14 and will present an array of topics of interest to those attending.

One topic is discussion on regulations and experts from around the United States will address how to approach and understand regulation facing fantasy sports gaming. Questions that being examined are,  is it legal or illegal gaming; should it be licensed and regulated by gaming authorities or just viewed as a consumer protection matter?  It is being suggested that the money transactions are massive and the media hype is stirring the pot to the point where the various jurisdictions are legislating changes for or against  fantasy sports betting placing the industry in a precarious situation.

The gold sponsor for the 2016 FSTA Summer Conference is well known Draft Kings and the Platinum sponsor is Fantasy Alarm. Taking in a conference such as this with the interest so high in the USA and its eventual demise uncertain at times can only lead to a better bottom line.
