Eurosport back in 2007 launched a facility in Hong Kong which serves as the regional hub for its Asia-Pacific channel, it is the network's second master control room for the region in order to create optimum broadcasting flexibility between European and Pan-Asian time zones. Eurosport broadcasts more than 300 days of live programming per year in the Asia-Pacific region from sporting events around the world.

Managing Director, for Eurosport Asia-Pacific Arjan Hoekstra, said back then, "our goal is to make our unique combination of live, professional sporting events available to every family in the Asia-Pacific region. We have chosen Hong Kong as our Asia-Pacific headquarters due to its central location and we look forward to bringing as many different sports to as many different people as possible.¨

Robin Le Prevost, who is the head of Alderney's e-Commerce Development, " was thrilled with the new development that Eurosport has taken on adding Eurosport to a growing number of high profile clients. And while one could speculate about Alderney's close proximity to France in being a reason for Eurosport to turn to Alderney in the first place, the fact of the matter is that the Alderney Gambling Control Commission is undoubtedly qualified and ready for the task at hand."
