Full Tilt Online Poker Courting Pro Phil Hellmuth

It did not take long for one of the top online poker champions of all time to be on the hunt for a new sponsor. Recently Phil Hellmuth decided to part company with UB.com and take his highly visible and sometimes a little strange antics somewhere else. The professional poker player is talking new sponsorship deals already. His first stop appears to be Full Tilt Poker at the Wynn Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The status of the negotiations with Full Tilt are not known but it is speculated that Hellmuth may not be comfortable with the situation where he will have to share the limelight with another high profile poker professional namely Phil Ivey. The two Phils doesn't really look like a good fit for Full Tilt Poker.
Becoming a sponsor for the Full Tilt Poker site may spell problems in other areas for Hellmuth, meaning Hellmuth may no longer be able to play in prime time poker television shows. PokerStars which is the sponsor for the FOX network programs ‘Big Game’ and ‘High Stakes Poker’ is Full Tilt Poker’s major competition.
Hellmuth, is known for his tournament abilities and Ivey has a specialty for cash games, and the signing of Hellmuth could give Full Tilt Poker a more rounded stable for the viewing poker fans. This may pull the rug out from under the PokerStars move that signed the infamous and mysterious Isildur1 to its roster of high profile and top notch poker pros. Hellmuth responded to a recent ‘Card Player interview by saying, “Certainly I’ll be talking to a lot sites, whether it’s PokerStars, Full Tilt, Bodog, whatever, and there’s going to be a deal out there that makes the most sense to me. I’m not just speaking financially because it’s really important that I also have a good fit with the brand as well.”
