The Finnish gambling operation Paf Group has just announced it will begin a new direction for the firm by acquiring a company that will allow it to expand into the maturing online gambling market in the Italian jurisdiction. Italian operator Winga is now part of the Paf Group which aims to take a part of the online casino, poker, bingo and live roulette markets  The live roulette comes to Italians via the Winga TV channel.

Created in 2010 Winga Italy has been ahead of the curve in the recharged online gambling market in Italy. Milan located WInga was owned by the international  Italian mobile and digital entertainment company Buongiorno. Paf Group will maintain the original Winga brand and it will now be a wholly owned subsidiary of the Group.

The Chief Executive Officer of WInga Italy Assen Diakovski was quoted as saying,  "It's exciting and challenging to lead Winga into a new era. Our market niche within casino TV in combination with Paf’s international gaming expertise makes me confident that together we can grow the business in Italy over the next few years."

Paf CEO Anders Ingves commented on the purchase of the company, "The acquisition of Winga is part of our strategy of continued internationalisation and expansion. We see great potential in Winga’s well-established operational base in combination with Paf’s international industry experience and broad range of products," Anders Ingves added that there is expansion in the future for Winga, "As a first step, we will expand Winga’s product range to include additional casino games and betting in the next few years."

The inclusion of Paf Group into the Italian mix of online gambling offerings brings more choice for Italian players and maybe better bonuses and service.
