Casino Kingdom Review

Casino Kingdom:

Casino Kingdom is a Microgaming-powered casino that is part of the massive Casino Rewards group. Despite being a long-time player at this group's casinos, Casino Kingdom had been a casino that had always passed me by - that is, until it was time for another review!

As with almost all casinos powered by software from Microgaming, Casino Kingdom is available both in download and flash versions. Whilst the flash version is great for those looking for instant access or those not wanting to download anything, I always suggest players go for the download version. This is because it offers a much better quality of game as well as offering the full range of games available.

To download the software, a player must first visit the Casino Kingdom website. The website itself has the usual sections on banking, support etc. as well as the all important download section. The software is downloaded via an installation program that requests all the files required. In total, the files required total 6.7mb in size, and as such should not take long to obtain, even for those on dial-up connections.

Installation is easy and after a few minutes of the installer doing its business, the casino was up and running. I clicked the 'connect' button and as I had not played before, was instantly taken to the registration screens. Players can sign-up as a guest player (if you want to try before you buy) or as a 'real money' player. I wanted to experience the thrill of real gambling and so I created a US$ account. Incidentally, players can also choose to create accounts denominated in Euros, UK pounds and Canadian dollars.

The next stop at the casino was the cashier, where players can purchase playing credits using a number of different options. The usual options are available; and I opted to make a $100 purchase using the trusty NETeller method. Incidentally, all new players are entitled to a new player bonus worth $77 (a 100% match is offered).

Those purchasing via selected purchasing methods, such as NETeller, also get a further $20 bonus! As such, players can purchase $77 and get a $97 bonus! Of course, there are wagering conditions associated with these bonuses and players must opt out of a bonus before playing if they don't want to have play restrictions imposed upon them.

Casino Kingdom offers a number of different games that are grouped together by type - e.g. table, slot. To make things easy, the lobby employs a clever preview function whereby a player can see what a game is like before they choose to download and play it. For example, slot preview screens shows the number of reels, number of paylines, the jackpot amount and other useful information. Similarly, a table game may display the number of decks used in the game.

As with most reviews, I began my play on some of the table games available and specifically the Multi-Hand Blackjack game. This game allows players to bet from $2 to $2000 on up to 5 different hands. As such, high rollers can bet up to $10,000 per round of cards! These huge betting limits can also be found on some of the other Blackjack games available. Whatever a player's favorite rules, they are pretty sure to find them in play here - as Atlantic City, Vegas Strip, Vegas Downtown and more are all available.

All the table games at Casino Kingdom offer great quality for the player - superb graphics are combined with background effects to make the experience even more realistic.

There's even a dealer voice over provided, although I found the strong American accent rather grating! Thankfully though, this is easily fixed - many aspects of the game play at Casino Kingdom are user configurable. From game speed to sound effect settings, a player really can have the casino set-up exactly as they want!

Unfortunately, while I was very impressed with the quality of the game presented, I wasn't impressed with the luck I appeared to be having! With multi-hand Blackjack it's great when the dealer busts or when a string of good cards come. However, a dealer Blackjack can soon wipe a lot from the bankroll; 5 losing hands in a round can take it's toll! In fact, my bankroll almost hit zero, but thankfully a few wins took me back up to $82. I decided to take that money and run!

My next stop was at the Casino War table. This is a really simple game, where players can double their bet if they have a higher card dealt to them than the one the dealer holds. Thankfully, those face cards that had killed my in blackjack were still appearing, but obviously in War that's a good thing! As such, my bankroll now leaped in the other direction up to a healthy $137! My bankroll was then taken up to the dizzying heights of $160 thanks to some cool Red Dog hands!

Although I seemed to have found my knack at the table games, I decided to move on before lady luck left me! Instead I went over to check out the slot selection - I thought I better do this with my bankroll intact! As slot players will know, while the big wins can come, slots can also be greedy guzzlers of money!

Slots are something that are plentiful at Casino Kingdom. A huge number of different machines are available from simple three-reel, one-line machines to multi-line bonus slots with mega jackpots.

I saw one slot machine (Cashville) with a 50,000 coin payout for one specific winning combination. And that's without mentioning the progressive machines - Major Millions has paid out over $1.6m in a single jackpot in the past!

Apart from the number of slots, I can see what the other draw is for slot players at Casino Kingdom - the quality of game. As with the table games, it's clear that a great deal of time has been spent on creating games that are really enjoyable to play. Some of the bonus games have side games that are simply breathtaking in their quality.

For example, the Pollen Nation game is a great way to waste away a few hours! Sadly, I didn't get a few hours of play - indeed after about 30 minutes of slot play my bank balance was back down to $100!

However, I did get a few good wins along the way such my $40.00 Jackpot Express win and my $42.00 Major Millions scoop.

Disappointingly my luck didn't change much at my final stop at the casino, the Video Poker games, although that's probably because I played on so many of the games available! From one-line Jacks or Better to 100-hand Deuces Wild.

Casino Kingdom really does have a great selection of games. Of course, the quality of the Video Poker games is as good as all the others available. High rollers will also be happy - single line games allow bets of up to $125 per deal!

I did have some good deals, such as a Full House dealt to me during my Supajax play. Sadly though, on this game in particular I put back my winnings in a futile attempt to win the $13,000 progressive jackpot! Similarly, on other games I came close to good payouts but kept falling short.

On a Deuces Wild video poker game I ended a game with two wilds and two to a royal flush - however, a King of Hearts appearing meant I got a $10 pay off instead of the $125 I would have liked! In the end my bank balance was sitting at a big fat zero.

And so, after quite an up and down ride, I ended up with nothing to cash out. However, I played for a good amount of time which is a testament to the fair RNG incorporated in to the Casino Kingdom software. I do know from my experience with this group though that payouts are pretty quick - usually a NETeller withdrawal would be back in my account within 24-48 hours.

Finally, I gave support a quick test. Customer support is available through email, live chat and email. Disappointingly, despite having a number of support options, support is sometimes slow to respond. Emails in particular seem to take a while to receive a response. Having said that, I guess that the telephone support is available for those wanting instant help. Incidentally, toll free telephone numbers are available for 6 different countries.

In conclusion, Casino Kingdom is a pretty solid casino to play at. A great selection of games are available and all of them have been designed to a very high quality. Similarly, the casino functions such as banking and support work, on the whole, very well. And of course, high rollers will definitely feel at home here! Couple this with a nice bonus and loyalty scheme and I can fully understand why this casino could become a player's favorite. Now, to try my luck again with the sign on bonus!
