Wild Jack Casino Review

Wild Jack Casino:

Wild Jack Casino is a Microgaming-powered casino that is part of the massive Jackpot Factory group, owners of a number of online gambling properties. Although I have played at a number of this group's casinos, up until this review I had never tried out Wild Jack Casino, and since the Online-Casinos.com site was missing this review, I thought it was time for a play!

As with all casinos, the website is the first place to go for those itching for a gamble, and Wild Jack Casino's is both nice-looking and well presented. At the time of play the website was advertising the 6-years that Jackpot Factory has been in operation. Although in itself that doesn't mean much, to me it indicated a casino that must be doing something right, as 6 years of operation is a long time in the world of internet gambling.

Wild Jack's software is downloadable from the website completely free of charge, and for those not wanting to download a flash version of the casino is also available. However, while this flash casino is handy for those on slow connections, game quality and selection is not quite as good as with the download version. Incidentally, the initial download size is 3.83mb, which is one of the smallest casino downloads I have come across.

Installation and sign-up both went smoothly, and I was soon in the lobby area of the casino. The cashier section is just one click away from the lobby, and as with many online casinos nowadays, a variety of depositing options are available. I deposited $100 via NETeller, and was soon up and ready to gamble.

Like many casinos, Wild Jack offers a sign-up bonus for new players. In the case of Wild Jack Casino this is a juicy 100% match. The wagering requirements of the bonus are also reasonable, being 12 time bonus + deposit. However, it should be noted that a number of games are excluded in counting towards wagering requirements. As usual, I recommend you fully understand the terms of a bonus before accepting it.

I chose not to take the bonus, as I don't like being tied in to wagering requirements, particularly if I hit big early on in my playing session.

As with all Microgaming-powered casinos, games at Wild Jack are accessible through the lobby with games split by type. I started my review at the table games section, and was instantly impressed by the range of games available. Favorites such as Blackjack are present, as I would expect, but so too are less popular games such as Sic Bo and Casino war.

Although I usually sit down at the Blackjack table when trying out a casino (of which a number of varieties are playable at Wildjack, including European, Spanish, Atlantic City, Vegas Strip and Downtown!), this time I actually decided to play Red Dog. This game is incredibly simple to play - in each game, two cards are dealt to the player. The player can then raise their bet if they wish before a third card is dealt. If the last card is higher than the first but lower than the second, they player is paid off. Three of a kind rewards the player handsomely.

The betting range for this game is from $1 to $50. This should satisfy most players, although it is a little on the low side for high-rollers. I noted the same at the Blackjack tables, where $200 maximums were enforced. However, for me I was more than happy with these limits, and started making some $2 Red Dog bets. Although my luck only appeared to be average, I enjoyed nonetheless my game play at this game. I think this was because the quality of the game play was superb.

Although I have played at a number of Microgaming-powered casinos, I am always amazed at the quality of the games. Great graphics are used throughout the gaming suite, and sound effects are employed effectively. Similarly, game speed (which is fully user-configurable) is also great, even on a dial-up network. What also becomes noticeable is that this quality is found throughout the games available. Even the slot games, which can be of only average quality at other casinos, retain the high-standards set by the table games.

Having moved around a few of the table games with nothing special to report, my next stop was to try out some of the Video Poker games available. A good number of VP games are playable at Wild Jack, including a number of multi-hand ones.

I settled down to play some Aces and Eights Video Poker. I had never actually played at this game before, but I could see from the payable that 4 Aces or 4 Eights paid nicely. Unfortunately these were not two hands I got!

I also played some 50-hand Joker Poker but again had no really good hands. I did get enough though to keep me going for some time - of course with software being provided by such a major player in the industry, gamers should have no fear about software being fixed. After all, the casino has a house edge anyway; so why would they need to 'fix' the games?!

My last stop at Wild Jack Casino was to hit the slots. Slot machines are something that Wild Jack seems to do well, with a huge variety available for the player. These range from really simple ones that are just three-reels and a single pay line, to multi-line slots with wild symbols, multipliers, bonus games and more. Although I don't really play slots, I've become quite addicted to bonus game slots of late and so decided to give these a play.

This proved to be quite a good move, as I hit a nice $100 winner on Wheel of Wealth (although no where near the $600 hit I recently got at another casino!).

I also played the brand new Wasabi-San slot game, which I have to say was pretty crazy! Some of the symbols and sounds on that game are really great! I also activated the 'pick a fish' bonus round, although I have to say I was a little disappointed with the 295 coin win (considering each play costs 75 coins). However, despite this I still had some fun!

I continued to play some of the other slot games available, and although I had fun, this didn't really do much for my bankroll. I can see why slots are so appealing though, particularly when they are presented as well as these. Progressive jackpots standing at over $1m (as with Major Millions) also helps add to the appeal!

After all my play at the casino I was left with pretty much what I came in with - $100. Although I did double this, my slot play meant that I lost back my early winnings. I was happy with this though - to play for a few hours at a casino and come out with what you entered with is OK in my book. The cash in processing at Wild Jack also met with my approval, with my withdrawal being processed within a 72 hour window.

Before wrapping up my review, I should of course mention the Wild Jack casino support. As with all the Jackpot Factory casinos, Wild Jack offers a variety of support options including email, live chat and telephone. The support staff at Wild Jack are personable and helpful, and as such simply enhance the overall quality offering of the casino.

All in all, I have to say that Wild Jack is a good casino. A lot of this goes to the management team, who have obviously learned a lot in their 6 years of operation. Major casino functions such as banking and support seem to work well, and the game suite itself is excellent. Couple this with a number of good games and I can definitely see that Wild Jack could become a casino of choice for many players.
