Key Facts:

  • 21 celebs have signed up to appear in the second series of The Celebrity Traitors.
  • Filming is underway. The show will be broadcast in the autumn.
  • The Celebrity Traitors averaged 13+ million viewers per episode in 2025.

The BBC has confirmed the list of contestants that will take part in the second season of The Celebrity Traitors. The first star-studded edition of the show, broadcast in Autumn 2025, was an instant hit, quickly becoming the UK’s most-watched show.

Unsurprisingly, the UK’s online bookmakers are keen to align themselves with the program. For months, they have run a market on the identity of series two contestants. It now transpires that early front runners, Louis Theroux, Bob Mortimer and singer Cheryl Cole (née Tweedy) are not among 2026’s field.

Despite that trio’s absence, celebrities know which side their bread is buttered, and an impressive list of 21 well-known faces – presenters, comedians, actors and musicians – have signed up to appear in the second series of The Celebrity Traitors.

The Celebrity Traitors Has Attracted A-List Stars

Amongst the cast is major film/TV actor Michael Sheen, known for his roles in Good Omens and The Queen; Oscar-nominated actor Richard E. Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me?); Bella Ramsey, the star of The Last of Us and Game of Thrones; globally recognised musician, James Blunt and Love Island host, Maya Jama.

Whereas an appearance in some celebrity TV shows is considered a death knell for the careers of stars whose celebrity status has slowly waned, a part in The Celebrity Traitors seems unlikely to have a detrimental effect on fame; quite the opposite.

Last year, when comedian Alan Carr won the first series of The Celebrity Traitors (as a traitor), an average of 13.3 million watched each episode. Subsequently, his television career has hit new heights – possibly due to the huge exposure.

Filming is currently underway on The Celebrity Traitors’ second series. The show is not due to be broadcast until the autumn. The timing means online betting sites are unlikely to offer betting opportunities on its outcome, as insiders will be privy to the result.

The new show, once again presented by Claudia Winkleman, will consist of ten hour-long episodes, one more than the first series. The potential £100,000 charity prize fund remains unchanged. Last year, £87,500 went to Alan Carr’s chosen charity, Neuroblastoma UK.
