Key Facts:

  • A dozen celebs will contest the 25th series of I’m a Celebrity …Get Me Out of Here.
  • YouTuber Angryginge and Celebs Go Dating receptionist Tom Read Wilson are the early favourites.
  • The 2025 series starts on Sunday, 16th November at 9 pm.

The 25th series of I’m a Celebrity …Get Me Out of Here hits UK TV screens this weekend. Broadcaster ITV has now confirmed the ten stars that will enter the Australian jungle during Sunday night’s launch show. Twitch streamer and YouTuber Angryginge’s chances stand out according to the bookmakers.

Two contestants, Irish TV personality Vogue Williams and Celebs Go Dating receptionist Tom Read Wilson, will join the cast a week into the show’s three-week run. Arriving late can be advantageous. Last year, latecomers Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles finished in the final five.

Tom Read Wilson has been installed as the second favourite by the UK’s online betting sites. The 38-year-old is 5/1 to be crowned ‘King of the Jungle’ while Vogue Williams can be backed at 20/1 odds in the early betting.

From Footballers to Afrobeats on the Airways

Not for the first time, the 2025 I’m a Celeb cast resembles a box of broken biscuits. There are almost 50 years between the oldest contestant, 72-year-old comedian Ruby Wax and the youngest, Angryginge (real name Morgan Burtwistle), who will turn 24 on the eve of the show.

Other contestants include Spandau Ballet member and actor Martin Kemp, Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley, EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, Model and radio DJ Kelly Brook, Ozzy Osbourne’s son, Jack, and former England football star turned presenter, Alex Scott.

Rapper Aitch, who had some chart success three years ago, and a BBC presenter on Radio 1Xtra’s Official UK Afrobeats Charts Show, Eddie Kadi, complete the dozen celebrities whose antics will consume around eight million armchair viewers during the coming weeks.

Recent results suggest punters hoping to back the outright winner should look for a jungle campmate in their 30s. Only Tom Read Wilson (38) and Shona McGarty (34) are in this age group.

Backing Angryginge Would Be a Social Experiment

Most of the contestants in this year’s I’m a Celebrity have some prior experience in similar shows. Aitch and Angryginge are exceptions, but Tom Read Wilson has appeared in everything from Supermarket Sweep to Mastermind.

Bookmakers are rarely wrong with their prices in reality TV shows, which makes Angryginge – quoted between 7/4 and 3/1 – an interesting betting proposition. However, numerous social media personalities have contested several shows of this ilk.

So far, none – including last year’s fifth-place finisher, GK Barry – have made a significant impact. Therefore, Angryginge is passed by. Instead, Ruby Wax rates as the most interesting contestant at the early prices.

The comedian would create history as the oldest winning camper if she were to take the prize. At 50/1 odds, her chances appear slim. But recent television appearances confirm her sense of humour is intact, and that quality could see Wax become a popular rose among some dry thorns.

High street stalwart Ladbrokes is one of the firms offering each-way terms of 1/3 odds for a top three finish. A third of 50/1 still represents value, especially when considering ‘older’ candidates have claimed silver and bronze medals most years since 71-year-old Harry Redknapp won in 2018.
