Rainbow Princess by Hacksaw Gaming to Be Released on 07.08.2025

Rainbow Princess is Hacksaw Gaming’s entry into the anime slot trend, delivering cotton-candy colored cluster action on a 6×5 grid. It channels some of the pixel-sweet charm of Toshi Video Club, another standout in Hacksaw’s portfolio.

Rainbow Princess by Hacksaw Gaming wraps a vibrant, magical girl anime theme around cluster-pays chaos. What immediately stands out isn’t the theme or the animation but the 96.36% RTP.

It also sports medium volatility, a solid 10,000x max win, and a wide stakes range of $0.10 to $100 behind all that sparkly façade and glitter bomb aesthetic.

Cluster Wins and Sticky Multipliers

There’s probably a line here about sticky multipliers and candy, but we are going to spare you just this once. Cluster wins hit when 5+ matching symbols connect, triggering Super Cascadesthat remove all identical symbols from the grid. New symbols drop in to fill the gaps and can chain further wins, with wilds helping out along the way.

Rainbow Princess introduces Magic Frame Multipliers that stick in place during a cascade sequence, but we weren’t a huge fan as feauture sets go. These special multipliers (ranging from x2 up to x100) activate when part of a win and then double in value after each cascade.

All Magic Frame multipliers reset once the spin is over, but in the meantime, they can lead to explosive cluster payouts, which did hold our attention a bit more.

Rainbow Spins Bonus

Trigger 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols to unlock one of three free spin modes. Each mode grants 10 spins with sticky multipliers that persist between spins. The bonus rounds add their own twists.

For example, one mode adds a Rainbow Rush meter that drops extra wilds when filled, while the top “epic” mode starts with multipliers on every position for maximum cascading carnage.

Rainbow Princess has a free spins feature (Make It Rainbow) with sticky multipliers carrying over each spin. Hitting clusters fills the Rainbow Rush bar to add wilds into the reels.

Rainbow Princess has four separate but spendy Bonus Buys.

Bonus Buy Options

If patience isn’t your virtue, Rainbow Princess’s Bonus Buy menu offers four shortcuts, but you may have to wait for payday before you can try out some of them.

Pay 2x your bet for a boosted chance at any bonus, 50x for a guaranteed win with multipliers, or buy straight into free spins for 75 (Tiara Treasure) or 200× (Make It Rainbow). It’s pricey, but the option to skip the grind will appeal to some slot fans.

Final Conclusion

Taffeta colored dreams and anime artwork aren’t every player’s cup of tea, but if it sounds like something you’d enjoy, then Rainbow Princess is a must try. While we felt the game came across just a bit saccharine, there’s no denying the high RTP and the huge sticker shock on the Bonus Buy games.

Despite the cost, we enjoyed the Bonus Buys, especially the lower-end ones, and felt they presented decent value. But overall, the anime theme and gameplay felt like something we’d played before, compared to past Hacksaw juggernauts like Wanted Dead or Wild, or RIP City.
