  • Theme: Wild West/Gunslingers/Outlaws
  • Software Studio: Hacksaw Gaming

This one will feel instantly familiar as Hacksaw just released the first Bullets and Bounty in August of last year. Katherine Quick Draw Kate is back, but this time she’s packing a Gamble Bonus and up to 20,000x big wins.

The Duel Reels are still there, as is the volatility, which, if anything, has crept up a bit. We have a 5×5 grid with 19 paylines, and a bounty duel reel feature. Most importantly, Kate still has her crimson mask and cape.

Full Rules & Information About the Epic Bullets & Bounty Online Slot

While you’re looking for 3 to 5 matching symbols from left to right in the base game, it’s the multiplier mechanics tied mainly to the duel reel feature where the real payouts happen. This does, unfortunately, mean infrequent but larger wins.

Epic Bullets & Bounty Symbols & Payouts

We’ve got hearts, diamonds, spades, and clubs for the lower-paying symbols. A wagon wheel, steer’s head, revolvers, cowboy hat and badge round out the higher paying symbols.

When you land a VS or Bounty VS, it expands into a Duel Reel if it would make a winning combination. Once that happens, it becomes a wild reel and can substitute for any of the symbols. Then the duel happens, with one multiplier awarded to each of our duelists.

With the VS symbol, multipliers are applied across the entire reel and to any wins. If more than one win on the same DuelReel, they are added together. Awards can range from 2x to 100x.

Bounty VS triggers gunfight on the Duel Reel between Kate and the outlaw. Here, if Kate wins the Duel we get another Duel Reel drawdown in its place for up to three gunfights. All multipliers awarded are totaled.

Epic Bullets and Bounty Bonuses & Features

Three FS scatters get you the True Grit Bonus Round. You’ll get ten free spins, but here we have Progressive Bounty multipliers, which means when you win in the Bounty Hunter Duel, that multiplier will now be the starting multiplier in the next duel.

More FS scatters get you additional free spins, and you can choose the gamble feature to spin the chamber on a revolver with six outcomes. Three are to move onto the Four Shots To Freedom Round, two of the bullets will award 5x and one will give you 10x.

A 1000x Bonus Buy Feature awaits if you’re feeling lucky.

Four Shots to Freedom can also be awarded by hitting four of the FS scatters. Here we have a Hacksaw favorite mechanic, a Bullets and Bounty Bar. It can give both DuelSpins and VS symbols. Every duel you win fills the bar by one increment.

The Gamble feature here has one bullet for Go Ahead and Make Her Day, three for 5x, and one each for 10x and 20x.

In Go Ahead and Make Her Day, which you can also trigger with five FS symbols we see the best of both the other rounds combined. We have both the Bonus Bar and the Progressive Bounty Hunter multipliers all going at the same time.

Similar Games & Best Alternatives

If you’re a big fan of this title, there is zero doubt that you’ll want to go play the first title in the installment: Bullets and Bounty. Other great Hacksaw westerns (and there are many to choose from) include Wanted Dead or Wild, or the slightly offbeat Le Cowboy.

Same Gun, Bigger Stakes

It’s odd to see Hacksaw reduce the spacing here so much. Six months between titles is a pretty quick turnaround, so it’s possible this was meant as more refinement than true reinvention.

In any case, if you can stomach the high volatility, enjoy a good western theme with a jaunty little soundtrack, and like to chase those big bounties, you could do much worse. Just remember that the base game can feel like a long ride across the desert in between shootouts.
