Eternal Duel in Brief:

  • Release Date: 12 March 2026
  • Type: Video Slot
  • Theme: Greek Mythology, Gods, Fantasy
  • Software Studio: Hacksaw Gaming
  • RTP: 96.42%
  • Hit Frequency: 30.6%
  • Volatility: High
  • Special Features: DuelReels, Reel Multipliers, Wild Multipliers
  • Bonus Rounds: Hades Havoc, Zeus Fury, Eternal Destruction
  • How to Trigger Bonus Round: Land 3 or more Scatter Symbols

While we appreciate the thematic concept, we perfectly understand that this whole rivalry thing is a bit of a revisionist concept, but you’ll have to take that up with Hacksaw, we’re afraid.

In any case, it’s a cinematic masterpiece, with Zeus ruling in the sky and Hades looming below, featuring the usual lightning-versus-underworld motifs. To play into that recurring theme, the main game mechanic is a DuelReel mechanic that expands into Wild Reels and can spin off multipliers that can reach 100x.

Full Rules & Information About the Eternal Duel Online Slot

The game takes place on a 5×5 grid with 19 paylines. Bets range from $0.10 to $50, with the best available RTP reaching a very respectable 96.42%.

When those Wild Reels spin up with a VS symbol, both Hades and Zeus will apply a multiplier to any wins connected to that reel. Once the battle is over, you collect the wins associated with the highest awarded multiplier.

When you land multiple DuelReels, their multipliers can combine if the same God wins both reels, resulting in some massive payouts, but it is also the cause of some of the very high volatility in this game.

Eternal Duel Symbols & Payouts

Ace through ten make up the lower paying symbols here, and we have Cerberus, skulls, goblets, and both Zeus and Hades for the higher paying symbols.

You will also find a Relic and Epic Relic symbol which can add their value to the top, bottom or even both multipliers of reels they land on to influence the Duels. Cyclops and Epic Cyclops do the same, but instead of adding, they multiply the values by the stated multipliers.

Wilds substitute for all other symbols, and interestingly, there is a death’s – head symbol which is nonpaying and has no other effect.

Eternal Duel Bonuses & Features

While the DuelReels provide a pretty exciting base game, most of the action still takes place in the bonus rounds. You will need at least three scatters to enter the Hades Havoc Bonus Round.

You will start this bonus round with 6 free spins and a multiplier at the top and bottom of each reel. These multipliers grow both by landing Cyclops and Relic symbols as well as from the DuelReels if activated. The DuelReels can also award extra free spins during the bonus round.

If you land four Scatters, you enter the Zeus Fury bonus round with eight free spins. On top of all the features from the Hades Havoc, now when you land a Wild it can multiply the multiplier. Each DuelReel here can add anywhere from two to ten extra free spins.

With five scatters, we enter the hidden Eternal Destruction bonus round, with a whopping ten free spins. We keep all the mechanics of Zeus Fury, but now we are guaranteed at least one wild, one Relic or Cyclops, and one DuelReel every spin.

Land a Wild in this bonus round and receive a multiplier.

As in all Hacksaw titles, if you’d rather just buy your way into these bonus rounds, that is always an option, albeit an expensive one. Hades Havoc starts at 80x your bet, and you can enter the Zeus Fury round for 300x.

For 1,000x, you can buy your way into the Deadly Feature Spin, which guarantees you four Duel Reels every spin!

Similar Games & Best Alternatives

Hacksaw has put these Duel Reels to good effect in several recent hits, including Wanted Dead or a Wild as well as Duel at Dawn with some minor variations.

If it’s the Greek gods calling you, Hacksaw has its Zeus Ze Zecond, which is quite imaginative, as well as classics like Pragmatic Play’s Zeus vs Hades God of War, or Play N’ Go’s Rise of Olympus 1000.

Clash of the Gods

Hacksaw’s Duel mechanic was born to be used in exactly this kind of titanic struggle between light and darkness. A lot of effort was then spent to ensure the game matched thematically both visually and in the audio. And the result is a beautiful, yet fun-to-play title.

The only gripe here would be the volatility that comes hand in hand with a game that relies so heavily on big multipliers in every bonus round, as well as Hacksaw’s rapacious approach to Buy Feature pricing.
