We’ve often said that Hacksaw’s assorted collection of monsters, gods and oddballs could use a bit more discipline, and along comes Ghost Vision, to give us a bit of that military training. We’re headed behind enemy lines with some serious night vision goggles, a skull-masked operative and enough weaponry to make Oliver North blush.

Full Rules & Information About Ghost Vision Online Slot

Ghost Vision uses a 5×5 grid with 35 fixed paylines. You’ll need three or more symbols to a payline to get paid. The base game is missing any multipliers or progressives so you’ll need to land some of the SwitchSpins to keep the flow going. These transform selected symbols into wilds during the respins.

The aforementioned SwitchSpins are triggered whenever a Ghost Vision Symbol lands. Then between one and ten paying symbol types are promoted to Wilds, we get a respin and any of those symbol types that land become wilds. Get another Ghost Symbol during the respin and the process repeats.

You can wager from a dime up to a Benjamin per spin, so lots of room for players of all wallet sizes. You can score a very highly rated 96.33% RTP if you are careful about what paytable you choose to play, but the volatility is still a four out of five, meaning you may need slightly deeper pockets if you intend to play a while.

Ghost Vision Symbols & Payouts

Ghost Vision’s lower-paying symbols are the ubiquitous 10 through Ace playing card logos, while watches, grenades, night vision goggles, pistols and our masked operative make up the higher-paying symbols. Match five of these and win anywhere from 4x to 20x your bet.

Wilds substitute for regular paying symbols and appear during SwitchSpins, which is when selected symbols get converted into wilds. Five of these wild symbols can pay up to 35x your bet. Fill the entire grid with Wilds and walk away with 10,000x your bet.

Ghost Vision Bonuses & Features

As per usual, three or more FS scatters trigger a bonus round, in this case Operation Black Rain. We start with ten free spins, and an increased chance of SwitchSpins. Land four scatters and we get Project Iron Curtain.

Same ten free spins, but this time the selected SwitchSpin Symbols become sticky in the display and stay as selected wilds throughout the free spin round.

100x your bet gets you Operation Black Rain.

If you manage to land two or more FS scatters during the free spin round, you’ll get an additional two free spins; land three and you’ll be awarded four free spins.

Similar Games & Best Alternatives

There are dozens of great military-style action slots if that’s what you’re looking for. Some of our favorites are Major Millions from Microgaming and Pacific Gold from Elk Studios, though we feel we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention Games Global’s slightly different take on a black ops mission with their Girls With Guns: Jungle Heat.

If you’re looking for a more traditional Hacksaw game with more detailed gameplay and multipliers to keep that base game interesting, we’ve said it before, and we are sure we will say it again, but you can’t do much better than the Wanted Dead or a Wild franchise.

Mission Accomplished

We aren’t even mad that Hacksaw traded its usual monsters and mayhem for a military-style campaign. Ghost Vision is both visually and mechanically an interesting change of pace from their usual fare. The SwitchSpins add just the right amount of firepower to an otherwise pretty straightforward slot.

Of course, with no multipliers to fall back on, players will need plenty of those wilds if they are hoping for that 10,000x max payout. For this mission to succeed, you’re going to need an awful lot of luck, but at least Hacksaw has brought something a bit different to the battlefield.
