Le Gift Grabber Slot Preview: Santa’s Little Thief

by Kevin Lentz 02.11.2026

Hacksaw Gaming’s Le Gift Grabber arrives November 26, bringing Smokey the Raccoon back just in time for Black Friday. Unfortunately, he appears more interested in stealing presents than handing them out. This holiday slot features Golden Squares, three Free Spins bonuses and a maximum win of 15,000x your bet.

Smokey the Raccoon returns for a Christmas heist.

We’ve all got that one uncle who seems to think the holidays are more about getting than giving, and our old friend Smokey the Raccoon has just taken that one step further. Though dressed as an elf, at least he’s gotten into the spirit of the thing, if a bit confused about the particulars.

Speaking of a little light-hearted larceny, I suspect no one will be surprised to learn that Hacksaw has, umm, “borrowed” from some of its past Smokey adventures to make this festive, yet furtive slot.

Le Gift Grabber is essentially the same game as Le Fisherman, with some Christmas magic sprinkled in. Whether that puts Hacksaw permanently on the naughty list will have to be decided by Le Santa.

Full Rules & Information About the Le Gift Grabber Online Slot

This slot uses a 6×5 grid with Cluster Pays, meaning you’ll need five or more symbols connected horizontally or vertically to get a win. These winning symbols then disappear and the cascade mechanic kicks in, filling the space with new symbols, like an early morning snow.

In this version, each of these winning positions also leaves behind a Golden Square that may eventually reveal coins, sometimes up to 500x your bet. Now, should you land a Rainbow Symbol, you will activate these squares, revealing either bronze, silver, gold, or even diamond coins, or occasionally a green or gold clover and rarely a Santa Sack or a Global Santa Sack.

There are even epic rainbows which reveal special symbols in every position on the board. Coins are for collecting; clovers multiply that collection, sometimes up to 20x. And the various sacks are clearly for collecting that loot.

Le Gift Grabber Symbols & Payouts

The lower-paying symbols are the usual playing card ranks, 10 through Ace, while the more valuable symbols include some Christmas ornaments, drums, rocking horses, bells and Nutcracker Soldiers. Land 12 of those premium symbols and win anywhere from 25x to 100x your bet for a nice little Christmas payout.

Not straying too far from our holiday theme, Wilds here are pink candy cane symbols and substitute for all regular symbols, and while the top paying symbol may be the toy soldiers, it’s the Golden Squares that these wins in the base game leave behind that truly have the most potential.

It’s the combination of those Squares, Coins, Rainbows and Sacks that will fill your yuletide stocking with lovely lucre more so than the regular cluster pays.

Christmas-themed symbols offer payouts up to 100x.

• All symbols: 10
• Highest-Paying Symbol: Toy Soldier
• Wilds: Candy Cane Wilds
• Paylines Pay: Anywhere (Cluster Pays)
• Maximum Win: 15,000x

Le Gift Grabber Bonuses & Features

Smokey has three smash and grab opportunities to make out like the Grinch here, and all are triggered by landing the FS symbols. Three of these will get us the Naughty by Night bonus game.

We start with ten free spins, and now our Golden Squares stay sticky until finally activated by a Rainbow. There’s also a slightly familiar Gift Bar up top that will count each additional FS scatter and unlock extra spins and other features as we move through the round. This includes up to five extra spins for five scatters collected.

250x your bet drops you straight into Sticky Fingers bonus round.

Four of the FS scatters get us the Sticky Fingers bonus round, not the Stones album, and here the Golden Squares stick around even after being activated by a Rainbow. Also, you’ll find that the minimum a coin is worth increases to 1x in this round.

Finally, should we land five of the FS scatters, it’s party time. Christmas Cave Rave starts with our gift bar already maxed out. This guarantees us either a Rainbow or Epic Rainbow on every spin. With the Golden Squares sticking around, this gives Smokey plenty of time to fill his sack.

Should you find yourself a bit rushed, you can buy your way into any of these features and some others through the Bonus Buy box on the Home Screen. 3x your bet gets you BonusHunt spins, while a whopping 500x gets you into the Chimney Epic Drop FeatureSpins. Naughty by Night bonus round is yours for a very reasonable 60x, and Sticky Fingers costs 250x.

Similar Games & Best Alternatives

If all of this seems a little familiar, just a bit more festive than usual, it’s probably because you have, in fact, seen it before. Hacksaw’s Le Fisherman has essentially identical mechanics right down to the feature bar, just minus the Christmas tinsel and snow.

And of course we shouldn’t forget Le Santa, should you prefer a bit more Advent adventure. If you just happen to be a big fan of Smokey’s criminal past, we wholeheartedly recommend the original Le Bandit. Proof, yet again, that crime really does pay in the slots world.

Regifting Shouldn’t Be a Crime

No one is going to accuse Hacksaw of giving us a bright, shiny new game here, but we don’t think it’s quite coal either. There’s nothing really wrong with rewrapping a perfectly good gift and giving it over again. Especially when that gift has some really entertaining mechanics and a 15,000x max payout.

Le Gift Grabber may at its heart not be much more than Le Fisherman with a Santa hat, but the holiday factor alone has to count for something, and there’s still plenty of fun to be had. And remember, should you see Smokey coming down your chimney this year, you’re going to want to keep a close count of those presents under the tree.
