AvaturUX leans heavily into a pretty well worn trope here with yet another Greek mythology setting, but the Hold and Win setup at least adds a few new twists beyond the standard fare. The Storm Boxes and the setup wheel also work together to keep the base game moving and avoid having the whole game built around random coin drops.

No surprises in the visuals here, as the game hews closely to the required Olympus aesthetic; Zeus lounging, marble temples, lightning bolts, gold foil, it’s all here in spades.

However, we will say it feels quite modern, clean, and adult, and not as cartoonish as some recent Olympus games.

Full Rules & Information About the Pots of Power Zeus Online Slot

We’ve got a smaller grid to work with here, at least in the base game with just a 5×3 layout and 25 paylines. Wins are left to right as usual, with bonus features triggered randomly if you’ve hit a bonus symbol.

Before the Hold and Win bonus game gets underway, a Bonus wheel will appear to determine the bonus game setup. On the outside wheel, we have the grid size; on the middle wheel, the number of storm boxes; and on the interior wheel, how many respins you will be awarded.

The aforementioned storm boxes contain a multiplier value; when they move on top of one of the coins, they multiply. When storm boxes move next to each other, their values are combined on both boxes, but no new storm boxes can land during the bonus game.

Pots of Power Zeus Bonuses & Features

The central mechanic is the Hold and Win Game, where the storm boxes move across the reels, increasing coin values as they pass over symbols. The ability to connect these storm frames can result in decent payouts, with a max of 10,000x.

The setup wheel adds some much-needed unpredictability to the whole affair by helping shape grid size as well as the number of active storm boxes. A strong result here will significantly improve your odds of a successful bonus round overall.

Storm Boxes boost connected coin values

There are two bonus buy options available as well. You can buy your way into a guaranteed bonus game with a random spin of the setup wheel for 100x, or for a small, small fee of just 500x, you can have five spins on a 5×6 grid with four storm boxes.

Similar Games & Best Alternatives

If you are looking for Greek-inspired slots, you literally can’t swing a cat without hitting one on any reputable slot operator’s library grid, many with more features and mechanics than Pots of Power Zeus.

That being said, if you want a simple, easy to understand game without a lot of added bloat, much as we have with this game, then perhaps AvatarUX’s Canyon Riches, or Fruitillionaire might strike you as a good time.

Short, Playful Title

Pots of Power Zeus hasn’t somehow radically rethought the whole Hold and Win formula so prevalent in today’s slot market. The setup wheel and storm boxes do provide a little added excitement to the total experience, however.

If you enjoy mythology slots, high volatility-driven bonus rounds, and fast entertaining game play without a ton of added bells and whistles, then there is enough going on here to justify a look.
