The Scatter pay mechanic means you can form wins anywhere on the 6×5 underwater grid, but you will need eight matching symbols. After each win, those symbols drop and can trigger additional cascades, and build up multipliers along the way.

Chomp multipliers fill in those cleared win spaces and get a 2x multiplier to start; should you clear a multiplier then it doubles. They do reset at the beginning of a new spin, however. The max multiplier that can be awarded is 2,048x. Wilds can substitute for any symbol.

There are several so-called Helper Symbols. These include the Bubble which will turn any symbol it envelopes into a Chomp multiplier which can award from 2x all the way up to 8x. If it should land on an existing Chomp Multiplier, no problem, the old one is simply multiplied by the new one.

There is also an Expansion Bubble. This one is pretty cool in that it turns not just its symbol into a Chomp Multiplier but any matching symbols on the board as well. Should you land one of those on an existing Chomp multiplier, then there’s a whole lot of multiplying going on.

And if all that wasn’t enough we also have a Crunch symbol, which is just a frontal view of Joe’s big smile, and which clears a 3×3 grid when it lands, leaving only scatters and wilds, then all of those symbols are replaced with 2x to 4x Chomp mutlipliers.

We’ve got nine underwater creatures filling in for pay symbols on the board, ranging from a starfish to a hermit crab, heck there’s even an octopus. While the base game is packed full of excitement, the “reel” fun starts in the free spin rounds. We will need at least three scatters to get to the free spin round.

When we do make it to the free spins, all of our chomp multipliers are sticky, which means you really have a chance to start stacking wins. Also instead of more scatters, we have lucky tickets in this round. Every time you land one you get another free spin.
