Online Gambling's 888 to Launch All American Poker Network

The Gibraltar licensed online gambling operator 888 Holding has announced it intends to be a vital part of the online poker industry in the USA. The public company listed on the London Stock was founded in 1997 and employs almost a thousand people with a reported revenue of $331.1 million dollars in 2011. The company ceased offering its services to US customers back in 2007 soon after the USA initiated the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006.

Now the firm has made significant return to the market in the USA by signing a joint venture agreement with Avenue Capital Group a US-based investment firm. Avenue Capital Group has the capital resources to make the 888 brand a success in the US. The Group has holdings in entertainment and land based casino operations making it a great fit for the joint venture proposed to operate on the 888 technical platform. Brian Mattingley, the Chief Executive Officer of 888, commented on the agreement, "This is the perfect deal for 888, providing the ideal platform through which to launch our B2C brands into the US market, once regulated."

888 Holdings has made some major strategically aligned deals with other operators in America such as the World Series of Poker agreement with Caesars Entertainment. Mattingley also pointed out other arrangements, "We also have a strategic alliance with one of the largest gaming machine manufacturers in the world, WMS," Mattingley continued, "We now have a significant financial partner for our leading B2C product - the final piece in the jigsaw, completing our US online strategy." Incorporated in Delaware another state that has legalized online gambling a new entity has been created called the All American Poker Network. The new corporation will also be aligned with noted Las Vegas casino and resort operator Treasure Island which Mattingley commented on, "The partnership with Treasure Island, a top tier casino property and operator in Las Vegas, is a further step forwards and another vote of confidence in our technology and people," adding, "We are well positioned to become a market leader in Nevada and other states as they regulate online poker going forward."
