IBIA Signs Up QPR Shirt Sponsor CopyBet
CopyBet, a Cyprus-based betting brand operating in the UK, has been confirmed as a new member of the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA).
Key Facts:
- CopyBet launched in the UK in 2016 and has now joined IBIA
- Its new data sharing agreement means that it follows 80 companies and 140 sports betting brands
- CopyBet sponsors various Cypriot football teams and the English Championship side Queens Park Rangers
- The site CopyBet allows users to copy the bets of top tipsters
The IBIA already has around 140 sports betting brands signed up to feed their data into its monitoring coverage, which helps to identify match-fixing and other illegal behaviour.
It recently confirmed it reported 63 alerts of suspicious betting to the relevant authorities over the first quarter of 2025, 3% down on the previous three months.
Adding another major betting brand in CopyBet will strengthen the IBIA’s powers, with the organisation continuing to expand since it was established in 2005.
The IBIA’s chief executive, Khalid Ali, welcomed CopyBet as the latest member.
He said: “This partnership strengthens our global monitoring network and reinforces our shared commitment to protecting the integrity of sport and regulated betting markets.”
Safe Gambling Conditions
Anton Ivanov, CopyBet’s business development director, explained why the betting site was keen to sign up to the IBIA.
He said: “Responsible gambling, and looking after our customers, is part of our core values at CopyBet, and joining the International Betting Integrity Association will enable us to continue providing safe gambling conditions for our players. We look forward to working with IBIA and supporting its mission of protecting the integrity of the industry.”
CopyBet is a unique betting site in that it gives customers the chance to “copy” the bets of top tipsters, as well as making their own picks.
IBIA chief executive Ali added in a statement released by the body: “We look forward to working closely with CopyBet to detect and deter betting-related corruption and to protect the integrity of the markets offered to consumers.”
IBIA Keeps Expanding
CopyBet signing up to the IBIA comes a short time after the organisation confirmed that one of Brazil’s leading betting operators, EstrelaBet, has also joined.
The IBIA noted it already has a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Finance to strengthen integrity within the betting market in the South American country, which recently relaxed its regulations for the gambling industry.
This year has also seen Hard Rock Digital join the IBIA, boosting the association’s integrity monitoring coverage in the United States.
Integrity data from Hard Rock Bet, which is the company’s online sports betting platform, is now feeding into IBIA’s leading global betting integrity network along with information from CopyBet.
The IBIA says it now monitors betting turnover by more than $300bn per annum through its partnerships with betting brands such as CopyBet, Hard Rock Bet, EstrelaBet, and others.
