Key Facts:
- Saturday’s top prize of £3,966,543 has been won in the UK
- The lucky player matched all six of the main draw numbers
- 08, 11, 12, 16, 20 and 33 all came out of the lottery machine
- Players are reminded to check their tickets for the jackpot win
Allwyn, which is the operator of the National Lottery in the UK, confirmed that the top prize of £3,966,543 was won on Saturday.
The machine named Guinevere put out 08, 11, 12, 16, 20 and 33 in the draw and one fortunate player matched all of them to take the jackpot.
But more than 24 hours later, nobody came to claim they had the winning ticket. Allwyn is now urging UK Lotto players to check their tickets to see if they have won the prize.
An even bigger jackpot is up for grabs in the next EuroMillions draw, with an estimated £199 million pot on offer.
That could produce a record lottery win in the UK, but first, Allwyn wants to clear up the growing mystery about the winning ticket for Saturday.
Exciting News
With nearly £4 million in cash yet to be claimed, the senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, Andy Carter, said it is “exciting news” for lucky Lotto players.
As well as the jackpot being won on Saturday, three other players matched five of the main numbers along with the bonus ball to win £1 million each.
The previous Lotto draw last weekend saw one lucky winner scoop the £3.8 million jackpot.
Carter added: “This follows an incredible week of millionaire-making with 11 new big winners made by Lotto last week.”
“Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call if they think they are tonight’s lucky winner.”
While the Lotto HotPicks jackpot of £350,000 was not won at the weekend, 30 players matched four out of five numbers to win £13,000.
No weekend players matched all five numbers, and the Thunderball took the £500,000 top prize either, though £5,000 was won by seven ticket-holders who matched five numbers.
Massive Euromillions Jackpot
It is an exciting time for lottery players in the UK as the next EuroMillions jackpot is set to be one of the largest ever up for grabs.
The estimated EuroMillions prize pot of £199 million would be the biggest of its kind in the UK, with the next draw set to be particularly popular as a result.
Allwyn’s senior winners’ adviser Carter noted that winning nearly £200 million would propel the player up the country’s rich list, above Dua Lipa and Harry Kane.
He said: “We are now on the verge of creating the biggest National Lottery winner this country has ever seen, as the EuroMillions jackpot will be an estimated £199 million this Tuesday.”
In July 2022, one lucky UK lottery player won the £195.7 million EuroMillions jackpot.
