On the eve of the 2025 NFL season, Sky Sports has announced a new three-year deal with the NFL that extends its partnership with the league beyond 30 years. The TV channel says it will broadcast more games this season than ever before.

Over half of all NFL games will be shown live on Sky for the first time. Amongst the new games added to Sky’s live roster are all London and European games, six in total.

Sky’s live coverage will therefore increase by almost 50 per cent compared to 2024’s figure. The 2025 NFL season begins with the Dallas Cowboys at defending Super Bowl champions, Philadelphia, on Thursday, September 4.

The following day, the first international game of the season will see Kansas City and the Los Angeles Chargers clash at Arena Corinthians in São Paulo, Brazil. This will be the first NFL game to be streamed live and for free to a worldwide audience on YouTube.

Europe Loves NFL, and Thanksgiving Is Beloved

Minnesota at Pittsburgh, played at Croke Park in Dublin on September 28, is the first of the six international matches broadcast on Sky. The three London games immediately follow. Minnesota at Cleveland, played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 5, is the first.

One week later the same 62,850 capacity venue hosts Denver versus the New York Jets. The Los Angeles Rams at Jacksonville complete the trio of London games. It will be played on October 19 at Wembley Stadium.

The two European games are Atlanta at Indianapolis, played in Berlin on November 9, and Washington versus Miami on November 16 in Madrid. This confrontation will be the first NFL regular-season game held in Spain.

NFL’s 2025 Thanksgiving Day Triple-Header – a beloved NFL tradition that features the Lions and Cowboys – will see those teams face the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs, respectively. Completing the Thursday, November 27 trio of games is a Baltimore Ravens/Cincinnati Bengals match-up.

Tight at the Top as Seattle Attracts Big Bets

The UK’s top online bookmakers rate the Baltimore Ravens highly. Available on 7/1 odds, the AFC North team shares favouritism for the sport’s biggest prize, the Super Bowl, alongside the Buffalo Bills and the 2024 winners, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kansas sits fourth on the betting lists. Three-time winners and twice Super Bowl runners-up during the past six seasons, the Chiefs are top-priced 8/1. Next comes the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, quoted on 14/1 odds.

Available on 66/1 odds in the UK gambling space, the Seattle Seahawks, Super Bowl winners in 2014, are positioned amongst the ‘rags’. However, Las Vegas sportsbooks have reported an avalanche of support for the West Coast team in recent days.

Notable reported wagers on the outfit include a $50,000 to win $3,000,000 (60/1 odds) to win the Super Bowl and a $50,000 to win $1,400,000 on the side to win the NFC (at 28/1 odds). According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, both bets were struck in Nevada with Bet MGM.
