Expected New Casinos

Following approval by the US Department of Interior in 2019, the $300 million Tribal Winds Casino project in East Windsor was a joint venture between the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the Mohegan Tribe of Indians of Connecticut. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent economic downturn, both tribes agreed to pause the project but with an option that it could be revived in the future.
