Flutter Entertainment Saw 8% Growth in Gaming Revenue in Q1 of 2025
Flutter Entertainment, a United Kingdom-based gaming behemoth, reported a hefty eight% in revenue growth overall across its platforms in the first quarter of 2025. The company owns and operates FanDuel in the US sports betting and iGaming markets.

Flutter sees 8% revenue growth in Q1 2025.
Key Facts:
- Flutter Entertainment has announced 8% growth in revenue overall for Q1 in 2025
- Company owns FanDuel, which saw 18% revenue growth in the first three months of 2025
- Flutter claims FanDuel is No. 1 in online sports betting and casino betting in US market
In an earnings call on May 7 that revealed its 2025 Q1 numbers, Flutter Entertainment announced that it saw 8% growth in revenue. That figure represents the successful first three months for the company in the US market with its FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel Casino products, as well as Sky Bet, which serves the UK, Ireland, and parts of Europe.
“I am pleased with the performance of the business during the first quarter, with the scaling of our US business driving a step change in the earnings profile of the group”, said Flutter’s Chief Executive Officer Peter Jackson.
Jackson added that his company is “positioned to win” the gaming market globally. That’s a bold statement considering the wealth of competitors clamoring for market share. But, given Flutter’s foothold in Europe and the strength of FanDuel with consumers in the United States, it isn’t unreasonable.
FanDuel faces its biggest challenge in the US from rival DraftKings, based in Massachusetts. But, FanDuel seems to have a more concentrated global strategy, especially with its popularity among UK users who wager on European football, rugby and other sports.
According to Jackson, FanDuel saw 18% revenue growth in the US in Q1 2025. Earlier this month, DraftKings announced in its own earnings call that the company saw a 20% increase in revenue in Q1 2025. But its overall revenue was well below that of FanDuel, coming in at $1.4 billion.
Flutter admitted that an unusual number of underdog betting winners in March during the college basketball tournament impacted its growth. That effect led to FanDuel missing target revenue goals for Q1. Similarly, DraftKings said in its earnings call that it has adjusted its 2025 revenue projections downward despite the fruitful first quarter.
An indication of Flutter’s seriousness at dominating the global market is the recent acquisitions of Snai (Italy) and NSX Group (Brazil), two gaming platforms that give the company additional products on two different continents.
“The global regulated market opportunity is significant, and Flutter remains uniquely positioned to win”, said Jackson. Flutter says its growth was only 2 % in the UK and Ireland, which is mostly the performance of Sky Bet in those countries.
