Magic Piggy OG Slot Preview: A Scaled-Down Return

Magic Piggy OG by Hacksaw Gaming arrives May 11, 2026, bringing back its Magic Hat mechanic, cash piggies, and free spins. This version simplifies things to a 5×3 layout with just medium volatility, but with a significantly reduced max win of 2,500x.

Familiar barnyard territory is the best way to describe the second title in the Magic Piggy franchise. If you’ve ever played the original, this game has all the same features, just in a slightly reduced and scaled-back form.

Set inside a bright neon-esque studio very reminiscent of the first title, you’ll still find the Magic Hat mechanics and Pig Bonus, but now we are playing on a much smaller grid at 5×3 and for a substantially lower max payout at just 2,500x.

Full Rules & Information About the Magic Piggy OG Online Slot

We’ve got 17 paylines now, paying left to right. The best available version pays a very respectable 96.2% RTP. Much of the base game revolves around the Magic Hat. It will show us what the Magic Piggy symbol reveals when it lands: either a Wild or a Bill Stack.

The Bill Stack scatters are essentially just cash prizes added together and multiplied by your current stake. You can be awarded anywhere from 1x to 500x. Sometimes the Magic Piggy will decide to award the Multiplier Coin scatter instead. These multiply your bill stacks, resulting in multiples of 2x to 5x.

Magic Piggy OG Symbols & Payouts

For symbols, we use the common 10 through Ace for the lower-paying symbols, and then fruit for the medium symbols, here portrayed by cherries, lemons, and plums. The highest-paying symbols are made up of a horseshoe followed by an even more valuable diamond.

The wild is a rather Art Nouveau-looking purple W, while a rather porcine piggy symbol also appears. The wild substitutes for any other symbol.

Magic Piggy OG Bonuses & Features

Three FS scatter symbols trigger the Pig Bonus. We start with ten free spins, and the Magic Hat awards only Bill Stacks or Multiplier Coins. In this round, there are also Star and Super Star symbols, and they award Piggy points above the reels.

Stars add 1x to 3x above the reel they landed on, while the Super Stars add that much to every reel. The Magic Hat symbols are awarded an equal amount of Magic Piggies. Fill the Piggy Point meter for an extra ten free spins, or land three more scatters in the bonus round for an extra four spins.

Buy your way into the Epic Bonus Round for just 200x

With four FS scatters, we get the Epic Bonus Round. Unlike the Pig Round, the Piggy Points here don’t reset between Magic Hat awards, making it much easier to fill the Piggy Point meter to be awarded more free spins.

Similar Games & Best Alternatives

We’ll be completely honest here and say that we preferred the first title, Magic Piggy, to this scaled-back version. So we definitely recommend giving it a try to compare.

For some reason, this title reminded us a bit of Hacksaw Gaming’s Vending Machine. A tenuous connection, honestly, at best, but overall, it’s a great title that more people need to check out.

If you prefer your magic slots a little darker, okay like 1000% darker, check out Hacksaw’s Dark Summoning, one of our favorite games from them last year.

Same Bacon, Smaller Plate

Look, there’s nothing wrong here. It’s a very playable game. Entertaining, fun, but just slightly immersive. It’s clean, functional, but just scaled down from the original.

But if you have played the bigger game, at some point you’re going to ask yourself, ‘Why didn’t I just stick with the original?’ That’s the problem we had here.
